Remarks by the President Before Meeting with Cabinet Members
Cabinet Room11:17 A.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT: Well, obviously were missing a few members of our Cabinet here today. In particular, John Kerry is overseas meeting on a topic that weve been spending a lot of time on over the last several weeks -- the situation in Syria and how we can make sure that chemical weapons are not used against innocent people.
I am hopeful that the discussions that Secretary Kerry had with Foreign Minister Lavrov as well as some of the other players in this can yield a concrete result. And I know that he is going to be working very hard over the next several days to see what the possibilities are there.
But even as we have been spending a lot of time on the Syria issue and making sure that international attention is focused on the horrible tragedy that occurred there, it is still important to recognize that weve got a lot more stuff to do here in this government.
The American people are still interested in making sure that our kids are getting the kind of education they deserve; that were putting people back to work; that we are dealing properly with a federal budget; that bills are getting paid on time; that the full faith and credit of the United States is preserved; and that the federal government itself is, in every single agency, running the way it should and making sure that our constituents and the American people are getting a good deal.
So were going to spend some time here today talking about all the efforts that have been made by many of these Cabinet secretaries to streamline operations, to cut out waste, to improve performance, to improve customer satisfaction. Were going to focus on some specific issues, including managing some of the budget debates that are going to be taking place over the next several weeks.
Were going to be talking about the rollout of the Affordable Care Act, where weve seen some tremendous progress over the last several months and are confident that starting at the beginning of next month, people are going to be able to start signing up for health care -- in many cases, for the first time. And were going to spend some time talking about issues like comprehensive immigration reform that are still of enormous importance to ensure that America grows.
So I appreciate all the great work that people have done. Some of the Cabinet members here are still relatively new, but thanks to their confirmations and the great teams they put around them, I know that theyre hitting the ground running.
Thank you very much, everybody.

Somebody should ask Obama EXACTLY what was discussed about the ObamaCare roll-out during this Cabinet meeting last month, and why he's frustrated and surprised about it now? What did Secretary Sebelius say to him then? Did she mislead the President in front of all the other Cabinet Secretaries? What does Obama plan to do about it now that he knows that he and his Cabinet were lied to by one of his Secretaries?

Too bad Pelosi didn’t accept the appointment to head up GM! We’d have to buy a car to find out if it starts.
Does she know what’s in it, yet?
We have to repeal it so we can see how screwed up it was.
90% of the news these days is the failure of 0bamaCare.
I’m just having such a good time!
“Fix the technology and let’s not get too bogged down in what happens if they’re not able to fix it.”
Ah, this woman is truly the stupidest thing ever to have walked the earth.
If they’re not able to “fix it”, you stupid b!tch, how in the hell are people supposed to sign up for it?!?
Forgive the language, but the sheer breadth and depth of her stupidity is simply incredible.
Maybe oBammy can hire a web czar. /snort
The computer systems to manage the administrative only function of human healthcare is in no way an objective you should undertake just because we used databases in gleaning voters for you which didn't exist in the last two elections. Campaigning computer programs are in no way to be considered for a national healthcare plan, or dare I say the delivery of such healthcare. The results would be disasterous.
Respectfully Submitted, John MaCafee
LOL!
Nancy is so funny.
I’d like to see somebody put Pelosi in row boat. Toe her out to the middle of the pacific. Drill a 1” hole in the bottom of the boat and leave her there with this advice, “Nancy, just fix it.”
They are gonna spin that line for the next two or three weeks, until they get their first status update from the Technology A-Team.
Then it’s gonna be PANIC PANIC PANIC PANIC PANIC PANIC PANIC!!!!!!
Obviously ObamaDon'tCare is designed to be as flawed as gun control so control freak politicians can continue to run for office on the grounds that they can fix things that they can only make worse.
They know full well that if they ever actually fixed a problem, there would no longer be a need for them.
It's simple self-preservation.
Bunch of rectums.

You did fix it you dumb wench.
GOP should block any “fix” that doesn’t fix all the problems, just like the Dems refused to fund part of the FedGov during the shutdown until all of the FedGov was funded.
Fixing all the problems includes removing the individual mandate and the employer mandate, removing the subsidies, recognizing that the God-given human right to freedom of religion takes precedence over ObamaCare and over all other FedGov demands, and removing the requirements to cover specific procedures, along with a long list of other fixes. [i.e., full repeal]
YOU CAN'T MANAGE A SIMPLE BASIC BUSINESS WEBSITE & IT BE FUNCTIONAL. YET YOU DEMAND TO RULE OUR HEALTHCARE? IS IT NOT FOOLISH TO MAKE CONTRACTS OR PASS LAWS IN WHICH YOU DO NOT KNOW THE CONTENTS WITHIN IT?
Arrogance, Ignorance, and Gross Incompetence.
