Level3 communications has been having root DNS and routing issues all weekend. It’s possible that your web requests are timing out.

Haven’t used IE for years.
There’s a reason it is referred to not-so-affectionately as “Internet Exploder.”

I don't understand all the hate IE gets. I've tried google chrome and firefox, and can't say I notice any difference in performance whatsoever. So I use IE, because I've always used it and the layout is more familiar to me.
People always tell me that chrome and firefox both blow IE out of the water -- maybe I'm missing something that wouldn't slip by a "professional" internet user...?

I found a surefire way to fix IE forever.
Use Firefox.

Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website.Which website?
Not a post with sterling clarity.
Sounds like you have a Virus or Trojan. Assuming you have been updating Microsoft software, including IE, on a timely basis everything should be working normally.
No IE issues here.

I would bet you have malware. Try running Malware Bytes followed by CCleaner. Check that your anti virus software is running and up to date. Yes and do use Firefox.
