For some reason FR & Google are okay, but any other website, including small private sites, connect and then quickly disappear and I get a message that the tab has been recovered and immediately get the following message:
We were unable to return you to yahoo.com.(or whatever)
Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website. It appears that the website continues to have a problem.
I ran into some of this yesterday, but it's definitely worse today.

Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website.Which website?
Not a post with sterling clarity.
Sounds like you have a Virus or Trojan. Assuming you have been updating Microsoft software, including IE, on a timely basis everything should be working normally.
No IE issues here.

I would bet you have malware. Try running Malware Bytes followed by CCleaner. Check that your anti virus software is running and up to date. Yes and do use Firefox.

Might try to Defrag to speed things up.

“Which website?”
Just about any website as I stated.

Updated Java. Defragged .
Problem is gone

I have to agree. I’ve tried others. Don’t like.
I’ve had very few issues with IE over the many yrs that I’ve used it.

Computer users in prisons are given no choice. Where do you think they get their beta testers from?
