Secular humanism is evolution atheism
The Conservative Beacon ^ | October 12, 2013 | Ellis Washington

It is intellectually impossible to understand the Left and their perverse paradigm they have forced inside of every institution of American culture and society, law, politics, medicine and history, unless you view it through the lens of Hegelian dialectical materialism. For example, using the above quote the secular humanist (today’s Democrats) believes that God is a myth [Thesis/problem] and that man created the gods [Antithesis/reaction], therefore We [Democrats] are gods who can do whatever we please in the name of the common good—the U.S. Constitution, the Bible, the original intent of the framers, liberty, due process, morality be damned! [Synthesis/solution]

The Democratic Socialist Party being hellbent on deconstructing America from within is the main reason for the present impasse in congressional talks with President Obama to end the government slowdown (83 percent of the government is still operative) because dictators never make good negotiators.

This malignant narcissist worldview is self-evident in the person and political policies of President Barack Obama and the Democratic Socialist Party. The typical liberal, progressive or postmodernist scoffs at the metaphysical. Ignoring the historical fact that out of the first 126 American colleges 123 of them were Christian, nevertheless the Left mocks those people who follow a Judeo-Christian worldview as being myopic, stupid, anti-intellectual and dangerous.

Great article.

Thanks.

It is astounding to me that there are soo many “Conservatives” that fail to recognize the connection between the belief in evolution and its corresponding requirement for Statism.

The Secular Humanists have done the math and have long understood that without “God’s guardrails”, man would be uncontrollable. They must advance the State as a result.

“Rights granted by a creator” vs. “Rights granted by man”

With the Creator gone we are left with man, and as this concept gains more and more acceptance so does the power of the State.

Evolutionists and Secular Humanists in today’s culture have been soo brainwashed that they rarely examine the foundations of their own beliefs. To be clear, leading evolutionists including Richard Dawkins, have told their flock that “Free-will” is an illusion.

Choice, is an illusion.

Hope, is not only an illusion but a waste of time.

Like the Loyalists of the colonial period, secular humanists and today’s postmodernists all reviled the historical fact that the colonists won the American Revolution (1775-83), thus characterizing America and American exceptionalism as somehow illegitimate and oppressive.

Secular humanist law is based on evolution.Evolution ultimately determines humanist legal principles. Man in evolving. Man is becoming. Everything is in flux. Nothing is permanent. There are no absolute legal standards or principles. There are no permanent Ten Commandments; there is no permanent Constitution. A utopia on earth is the next stage in man's evolution. Man can control his own evolution, so in order to create this utopia, man must adopt the libtard agenda where the state must create law, enact law and execute law, and interpret law. The state determines human rights and grants such rights as it deems beneficial. The state by granting or withholding rights becomes supreme; it becomes god.

Postmodernists believe that the agenda of the Founding Fathers was a white male undertaking that reflects white male bias, that elevated reason and empirical data, and focused on objective knowledge of a real world, such as the scientific method for discovering objective facts about the universe, and the concept of justice in relation to law.

But, postmodernists reject reason and objective truth, condemning them as components of white make domination. They prefer the more subjective ways of knowing supposedly favored by women and minorities, such as storytelling. They believe that reality is socially constructed by the powerful in order to perpetuate their own hegemony and power over other people.

One result of these beliefs is the idea that the law is no longer a God-ordained, objective standard by which to judge behavior and maintain an orderly society, but a weapon to beat political opponents into submission to a point of view.

Belief in naturalistic evolution is essential in convincing people to surrender their sovereignty, and shred our institutions. You can’t believe in any power greater that Government. Bob

When you think about it, only someone who has bought the evolution fairy tale (or Islam) could ever come to view our WWII heroes as expendable “useless eaters”. Bob

I can’t even express the countless hours, days, weeks or years that I have examined this issue.

I’ve tried to separate the politics from Religion. I can’t.

I’ve tried to separate evolution from Politics. I can’t.

At it’s core, there are two foundations for belief that have come to define this issue. Both cannot be true at the same time, and therefore one needs to fall.

We are getting very close to the final battle.

“For the scientist who has lived by faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.”

Now you know why Darwin Central and many of their knuckle draggers who pretended to be conservatives and stirred a lot of trouble were finally banned on FreeRepublic back ~ 2006.

Quite a number of Freepers, accomplished scientists many of us, tussled with them and blew them away regularly. I made it a point to link their faux-intellectual Darwinist world-view to the social Darwinism that proceeds from it. Their shrieks were "Wicked witch of the West" moments.

Many of them seemed to get most of their "science" from ComicCon conventions and TV episodes of "Star Trek" and "Deep Space 9". They are a truly laughable lot!

Check my tag line.

There are a few of their straggling number still around here, but they remain a lot quieter and the wolf gang that was summoned by the likes of the mis-named screen name, "Patrick Henry" for the most part now only gurgle and belch over at Darwin Central's established web site.

No one I know even bothers to waste time with them.

BTW: writing you on my way back on the train home from the Million Vet March on the Memorials held in the DC today!

I was here during that purge.

I see a similar purge on the horizon.

This one will be substantially more challenging.

This battle is among Christians.

Calvinism.

Free will ?

God’s plan ?

Redemption ?

Forgiveness ?

Because the bible says so vs. thoughtful scientific conclusions.

Can I be made Whole Again?

Daddy, daddy do you miss me.
The way I crawled upon your knee.
Those childish games of hide and seek
Seem a million miles away.

Am I lost in some illusion.
Or am I what you thought I’d be.
Now it seems I’ve found myself
And need to be forgiven.
Is there still room upon that knee?

If I give my Life, If I lay it down
Can you turn this Life around, around
Can I be made clean
By this offering of my soul.
Can I be made whole again?

Have I labored all for nothing.
Trying to make it on my own.
Fear to reach out to the hand
Of one who understands me
Say I’d rather be here all alone.

It’s all my fault I sit and wallow in seclusion.
As if I had no hope at all,
I guess truth becomes you
I have seen it all in motion
That Pride comes before the fall.

If I give my Life, If I lay it down
Can you turn this Life around, around
Can I be made clean
By this offering of my soul.
Can I be made whole again?

Can I offer up this simple prayer.
Pray it finds a simple ear.
A scratch in your infinite time.
Not withstanding my fallings
Not withstanding my crime!

If I give my Life, If I lay it down
Can you turn this Life around, around
Can I be made clean,
By this offering of my soul.
Can I be made whole again?

If I give my Life, If I lay it down
Can you turn this Life around, around
Can I be made clean
By this offering of my soul.
Can I be made whole again?

Great song!

Were you aware the sonwriter, Jennifer Knapp is a lesbian?

When you say "This is where the battle is being waged," is lesbianism the arena you were thinking of?

From an interview Knapp did in Christianity Today in 2010 Jennifer Knapp Comes Out a commenting poster put it very well:

"Ed Phillips, April 27, 2010

Jennifer Knapp is an example of the biggest danger to Christians today. That danger is taking scripture and fitting it into the mold of our longings and our desires. We end up making God in our own image, rather than being shaped and changed according to His image as taught in scripture and in the life of Christ. We are not perfect but we are called to be conformed to the image of Christ by the Spirit, not changing God and his word so that He accepts what we want."

Yes, I am fully aware of her "coming out".

I was a very big fan of her music for quite some time. She literally disappeared from public view for 3 or 4 years.

I found much of her music, prior to "coming out", reflected an internal struggle many Christians may have with guilt and self-worth.

The battle is between the growing sets and sub-sets of communities that welcome any number of rationalizations of belief or behavior AND Christians that are sincerely humble in their faith.

Interesting that you quoted, nearly word for word, the "commenting poster" in the Jennifer Knapp interview, before I posted the song.

The battle will be between Christians who try to create a god in their image and those who choose to serve the God Who made them in His image.

And from the commenting poster:

We end up making God in our own image, rather than being shaped and changed according to His image

It was your statement that brought to my mind the line from the song;

Pride comes before the fall.

I keep coming back to the question of "Free Will".

The idea that free will is an illusion is not something I see being examined by the secularists. While it is a requirement for the evolutionist, Christians that accept this concept seem to be susceptible to any variety of "Christianity" that suits them.

In my view, if free will were an illusion, then faith would have no value.

Oh dear Agamemnon, truly I loved this:

Satan to the Prodigal Son: Come on, come on. I can’t curse you without your help. Don’t live right, why?! Come on and cheat. I need you to help me curse you. … I need you and me to make a deal so I can kill you. I want to destroy everything you’ve got and I can’t do it without you cause you’re too blessed for me to mess you up without your assistance…

Thank you so very much for the ping!

I, too, was amazed to read that posting at the Christianity Today article, which I included in that lest post, and how it very nearly approximated what it was that I posted to you.

Pride comes before the fall.

She is merging the quotation straight from the Proverbs:

"Pride commeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18)

I keep coming back to the question of "Free Will".

Here's my take on free will: One is not truly free unless one choses to be governed by God's will.

Ergo, we are free to do what's right in God's eyes, because it affirms God's Natural Law, or we will choose to be judged according to God's Natural Law should we choose not to align our hearts toward Him and conform our spirits to His.

First, I'd like to thank you for continuing this discussion.

Here's my take on free will: One is not truly free unless one choses to be governed by God's will.

I agree, and from a Christian perspective this makes sense.

The challenge, as it relates to the original post, lies with the evolutionists/Liberal/Progressive/Statist etc. and their own understanding of what they believe.

Oprah Winfrey, is coming under attack from atheists for her recent attempt to explain to Diana Nyad something along these lines. Unfortunately, Oprah did not handle this well and it was not the proper setting to begin with.

It is extremely difficult to have an honest discussion or an open examination of the foundations of belief with the group I mentioned above. Engaging them is one thing, staying engaged is quite another. Ironically, it is the atheist that thinks it is the Christian that has not examined these deep issues. In my experience, Christians that have been "born again" or have been forced to defend their faith run circles around the atheist. As a result, the atheist feels threatened and either runs from the discussion or resorts to personal attacks.

You can destroy the atheist with just a handful of questions.

Hit the right question, at the right time and you may be able to witness the physical response of Cognitive Dissonance. It is distress, confusion followed by anger and in some cases rage. I have been physically attacked for asking a series of questions based on their answers.

They don't want to hear it.

They will fight for their right to be ignorant.

I am convinced that you can't "tell" anybody anything that they are not willing to hear.

Short of personal "crisis", there are fewer and fewer people that willing to examine the foundations for their belief, much less change that foundation.

Full circle.

We have a group of Liberal/Progressive/Democrat/Statists/Atheist etc...that are doing everything they can to empower our government with the ability to remove any and all possibility of crisis from occurring.

Until they see a tipping point where they are confident they will be seen as the only solution.
