This clip is from Västerås, Sweden.
Each year, a festival celebrating classic American cars is held in this Nordic city.
See link below.
At vintage auto auctions, it is commonly said that the vehicle might end up over seas. And many do.

- Very true.
But anyhow, we Swedes know how to take good care of what you consider scrap, don’t we?
Wow! Really beautiful. Thanks for posting that. I enjoyed it ( though it was a little disturbing to see vehicles my parents owned and I drove in youth being counted among the antiques!)
But you are wrong that we consider them scrap. People here pay a fortune just for the unrestored ones, and spend much time scouring old barns and garages looking for antique cars. They are greatly admired here and draw a lot of attention at shows and in parades, or even just when being driven about on a sunny Saturday. We do think they’re cool and beautiful.

- Good to know I was wrong.
These amazing vehicles deserve to live on!
OMG, those poor people watching this, how many of them died from all that pollution? /s
Just a few miles from my home there are three repair shops that specialize in classic and antique cars. One does old Corvettes, Ferraris, and Lamborghinis; the others take on anything. There is a continual and rapid turnover in projects. My 19-year-old US Marine son loves them. He enjoys it when I send him photos of these rusted hulks, because he can see the beauty beneath the rust, waiting to be revealed by the restorer. Yes, we see many restored cars on the roads on sunny weekends.
Thank you for your post (and apologies for my late reply)!
Seems like (at least some) magnificent cars get treated in a reverent fashion over on your continent. Keep it up!
These automobiles tell stories, are linked to personalities and have mattered; In personal lives and in society as a whole.
I would not enjoy living in a world void of cars.
Again, sincere thanks for your reply.
Greetings from Sweden,

They are much admired.
Now please continue your experiments in cross-cultural understanding by telling us about the Swedish Christmas!
