A police officer who dropped off his daughter at her Phoenix elementary school was asked by the schools principal not to wear his uniform to the school because other parents were concerned that he was carrying a gun, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported.
Scott Urkov is a police officer for the Coolidge Police Department. The department told him not to comment to media inquiries, but immediately after he received the no-uniform request, he posted on Facebook.
"Nothing like your kids school calling and asking if I could not come to pick up my daughter in uniform cause parents were concerned when their kids came home telling them there was a man at school with a gun, he posted. Are you freaking kidding me?"

there was a comment earlier in this post, something like, how do these people live with themselves.....how do you do it??? I assume that you were kidding, if not, you should explain who, other than legally appointed police personnel, stand between your family and complete chaos......dogs indeed......pathetic!
My Guns. Cops are called to fill out reports and zip up body bags. They are good at extorting money from grandma when she has a brake light out though.
While they made the same typical asinine mistake that other school administrations have made, in this case, as soon as the district superintendent heard about it, he probably immediately called them and told them to not be dumbasses, and to resolve this mess ASAP or they would be fired.
So I guess that when there’s an invasion of wacko’s with guns the cops have to show up in civvies so they won’t upset the kiddies - meaning the staff - the kids would be alright in seeing a cop in uniform.
Just the mere thought of the word “g-u-n” gives them the vapors. The wussification of a once great nation continues.
when grandma has a brake light out, normally she is advised as such and told to fix it....didn't you ever see the commercial with the pig driving the convertable??? I agree that police are normally called to respond to situations, but their presence, in many cases (Most) prevent those conditions from developing in the first place.....your gun, and I am an avid gun control protester, will do you no good....you live in Chicago which has strict gun control laws, or matbe California where they just outlawed many semi-automatic rifles....do you have your gun with you at all times?? at the local theater, McDonalds, in church, at the courthouse, are you going to start slinging lead (you have no training whatsoever in situational adaptations) whenever you percieve that a problem might arise??????the police are trained to act accordingly, you hire them, you pay them, you educate them, you pay them their retirement......but you think that you can do it better..........in VERY specific situations, you are right...in most cases, you are wrong.
That bears repeating.
In my universe being stupid would hurt and be potential fatal.
I am unwilling to cede power to strangers. Not a good idea. The moment you decide to give up a freedom in exchange for liberty you have given up much.
Cops are a necessary evil, but a dangerous habit. Cops today are militarized, ready to shoot. To invite Police or any government power into your life is dangerous.
we self educate our children because we don’t want to give power, money, and control to strangers.
We own firearms because we don’t want to give power money and control to strangers.
We vote for small government, underfunded and frustrated because we don’t want to give power, money and control to strangers.
This is a dangerous, short life in which nothing is safe or guaranteed. Once that tenant of life is accepted then the need for layers and layers of expensive safety purchased with lost liberty become less important.
Now the school invites him to speak to help cover up the inanity that runs things. Per Beck, the guy’s department chastised him for mentioning it on Face Book and threatened him if he said anything else.
