I'm fairly sure many liberals will consider this post as piling on President Obama. Their favored son, the first black President of the United States, is looking like a wall that has been painted with paint that is mostly water. Have you ever tried to do that? I have and it is impossible to get the wall properly covered. The paint will run away from your brush and roller. President Obama's colors are running pretty thin and he is having a hard time keeping his backside covered from all the scandals and claims coming out of his administration.
Seriously, how many more lies does President Obama have to tell before everyone sees him for the liar he really is? He has lied about Fast and Furious, blaming it all on President Bush, of course. He has lied about the IRS and its targeting of conservative groups. He has lied about Benghazi and what really happened in Libya. He lied his way through the campaign to defeat Mitt Romney, shedding every criticism off his back like so much water. He is now being disingenuous about the upcoming battle over the continuing resolution and raising the debt ceiling. He conveniently defends his vote against raising the debt ceiling in 2006, calling it a political vote. As one commenter on this blog pointed out yesterday, Obama and his staff have little remembrance of history and how the debt ceiling battles have worked in the past. What the Republicans are trying to do is nothing new, except for the fact that it is so inconvenient for President Obama. And we all know how he loves being challenged.
It is also worth noting that the liberal media seems to have gone somewhat sour on President Obama. His leadership style, or lack thereof, is being shown for the disaster it has been for the past four years. Obama doesn't want to lead, as much as he wants to dictate. He loves being able to give his viewpoint on any given issue, but when that viewpoint is challenged, he falls back on rhetoric and tells everyone he won the election and has a mandate. He seems to believe that winning the election gave him carte blanche to do whatever he wants to do. He seems to forget that the office he holds is part of a three-branch style of government. He is President, not Dictator.
Here is a sample of some of the critiques that are being written about him, from Fox News.
Maureen Dowd tees off on the president for going ahead with an economic speech bashing Republicans on Monday, even as the Navy Yard was in crisis after the mass shooting there. It appears that the liberal media is finally getting around to admitting what most of us knew all along. The man Barack Obama was a joke and he has gotten no better since he became President Obama. All of the issues we tried to raise, as far back as 2007, are now being "discovered" by the liberal media. I just wonder what took them so long. The man who connected so electrically and facilely in 2008, causing Americans to overlook his thin résumé, cannot seem to connect anymore, she writes. With a shrinking circle of trust inside the White House, Obama is having trouble establishing trust outside with once reliable factions: grass-roots Democrats and liberals in Congress.
When Obama defended his Syria policy to George Stephanopoulos by saying that Washington likes to grade on style points, it ticked off Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus.
Style points? Seriously? Style points? Thats what President Obama thinks the criticism of his zigzag Syria policy amounts to? she writes. As presidential spin, this is insulting. As presidential conviction if this is what he really believes its scary.
Is the president stung by such criticism?
Heres a tidbit from MSNBCs Richard Wolffe in his new book The Message, about Obamas reaction to critical editorials in the New York Times.
After each negative editorial, the president would summon his communications team to discuss the critical coverage, Wolffe says. It was a deeply unpleasant experience for his staff, who bore the brunt of the presidential outbursts.
Obama called Andy Rosenthal, the Times editorial page editor, to complain, but only after aides scrambled to find his number.
Thats a far cry from 2007 and 2008, when much of the media was swooning over Obama. But then, governing is harder than campaigning, and no honeymoon lasts five years.
Ha! President Obama and the Liberal Media...like two people (no one else wants) who are in a nightmare resationship they both deserve!!
It appears we have a little boy, a spoiled little, pencil necked, one man losing streak as our "ruler"
I complain all the time about him and the sumbi*c# hasn't called me yet. - Nothing wrong with Obama that a good spanking wouldn't fix.
The damage is done Obama knows it.
Too bad he cant be removed at mid term time, too.
Yes, I agree. Obama and the MSM are nothing more than two ideally suited for each other misfits. When I start hearing them openly calling for his impeachment ala Richard Nixon, I will believe there is a split. Till then, this is just conversation, and a bad one at that.
A spanking would only whet his appetite for more. Homosexuality is not the only mental/emotional disorder affecting our president.
But that wasnt the last time Obama met with Times editorial board members. On Aug. 29, the president again sat down for an off-the-record discussion with Rosenthal and some members of the editorial board, according to sources familiar with the meeting. Times opinion columnists David Brooks, Gail Collins and Ross Douthat also attended, but editors for the papers news pages did not.

The fatal flaw of our Founders is omitting a vote of confidence procedure from the Constitution. In their defense, they never intended the country to be a democracy in which half the voters can’t speak intelligently, much less think, and are dependent on Big Government for food, rent and ObamaPhones.
Our Founders probably never envisioned a nation that would sit on its butts, doing drugs, guzzling booze, having babies by the dozen, refusing to vote, and their government giving them everything they wanted for free without any work. In their time, people worked, people cared, people did, or else they starved to death. Those people who came here and were born here had to do something to survive. Not now. Our stinking government has become the nanny and this HAS destroyed America. These getting it free, should have to do something to get that check. Even if it is walking on the side of the road picking up trash.
Until I see a steady drumbeat of daily and negative stories being reported by nearly all instruments of the MSM, I don't believe it. Until the entire WH press corp is in a frenzy during a press conference, and administration officials resign on a weekly basis, I don't believe it.
The liberal media pays negative lip service when they absolutely have to do so, but it's always in small, manageable doses for the President.
The Founders? Heck, my grandparents would never have envisioned what America has become! We have fallen far and fast.
