If you consider the deadliest mass shootings in American history -- at this point, shootings with 12 or more fatalities -- you'll find the first one happens in 1949. A deranged lone gunman's "Walk of Death" in Camden, New Jersey, claimed the lives of 13 people.
The next one happened in 1966, when a lone gunman climbed the bell tower at the University of Texas and began shooting. He killed 16 people. The first half of the list of these horrible shootings, as Rachel pointed out on the show last night, took place over half a century. The second half took place over just six years, from 2007 until yesterday.

Common denominator of late...........king hussein.
I wish the old King Hussein of Jordan was still alive, but alas, he is a "Silent Key" now. B-( If he was, I'd trade our "King Hussein" for their King Hussein. FYI, the former King of Jordan was an amateur radio operator, callsign JY1. When an amateur radio operator passes on, he is termed a "Silent Key."

I try to avoid conspiracy theories, but I do find it strikingly odd that weve had a huge upswing in deadly shootings not long after after gun-grabbing radical entered the Oval Office...
Me too. I was talking with a fellow online friend, and Freeper, where there are times I wonder about thing like that. I hate to get "Alex Jones" (I know posting from him is forbidden here) on here, but I brought up the point of things like MK-ULTRA from 1947 to 1971 where they tried mind control experiments along with movies like the 1977 classic, "Telefon."
The perp did mention about microwaves beaming into his mind and there was talk of experiments similar in nature, albeit conjecture, where the Soviets and perhaps even us did that back in the 1950's or 1960's and perhaps past that.
Well, my friend applied Occam's Razor although he does acknowledge such secret programs. He mentioned that because of the bad economy and climate in this country, a lot of people are becoming more mentally unstable as the pressure gets to them and some of that group tends to commit suicide, so maybe this was a way to "commit suicide by cop."
I know Alex Jones is a bit taboo, but my take on him is that there are times he goes overboard but most of time, there are some small to medium elements of truth there.

The end will always justify the means for a true radical like Obama. The best way to implement radical change is not by arguing logically against the existing policy, but instead by finding ways to drastically change public perception so that the existing policy is considered morally reprehensible. Wonder of all wonders, ever since Obama took office weve had all sorts of little events (events that were rare in the past, one might add) which suddenly seem to call for the solution that Obama has wanted all along.
It seems fishy and I wouldnt put anything past a textbook sociopath like Obama. Again, Im not usually given to conspiracy theories. Still, at this point nothing would surprise me.
Whether is is thing like MK-ULTRA, tanking the economy to generate more discontent or even if it is a case of "stuff happens" where it is just a convenient opportunity, I would not put anything above Obummer and Co. to use it for their causes.

I dont know if it would even have to be something as elaborate as MK-ULTRA, really. Some people have mental conditions which react poorly to SSRIs and other medications. You find some people with unsteady mental problems that you flag as potentially dangerous, put a gun on them, and sooner or later one of them is going to go off on their own. Later on you release news stories that their guns were acquired legally.
As for Alex Jones, he’s entertaining but I always take the guy with a good dosage of salt. Still, every once in a while he does stumble upon something interesting.

One reason for the surge in mass shootings under Obama:
he’s been pushing ‘gun free zones’ or as criminals call them: open shooting galleries.

A visual of the deadliest shootings (the only way I know how to make it visual without a graph) (One very visible shooting didn’t even make this list because there were only (ugh) 6 fatalities in Tucson when Judge John Roll was killed and Gabby Giffords among the wounded. IOW, those listings are only those shootings with several more fatalities than in the Tucson shooting that really set aflame the anti-gun push here lately.
During EVERY YEAR of Obama’s “presidency”, there has been AT LEAST one massacre worse than Tucson. His first year in office there were FOUR shootings worse than Tucson.
To: butterdezillion
Oops. In 2010 there shouldn’t be one for Oct 12. It was Oct 12, 2011.
To: Nowhere Man
If you look at a visual (at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3068218/posts?page=57#57 ) of the frequency of these massacres (only those with at least 2 more fatalities than the Gabby Giffords shooting) , you see the massacres under Obama began in March of 2009. There were FOUR massacres that year and at least one every year since then.
The run on the bank was in early September of 2008. These massacres began suddenly 3 months after Obama took office. For 6 months after the run on the bank there were no massacres and then after 3 months of Obama in the White House we had 3 massacres within a month’s time and another one later that year. Each of them more deadly than Tucson.
That doesn’t sound like it’s bad-economy-induced “snapping”.
Makes me wonder how long the MK Ultra stuff has to be going in order to have a plausible “schizophrenia/mental illness” cover for assassins. Three months?
