My wife is very ill and in need of prayer. She was diagnosed with blood clots in her legs several weeks ago and was put on Cumadin and sent home. The Cumadin didn't work, she developed additional clots and several migrated to her lungs. She was sent to the ER and then admitted to the hospital and a CT scan was ordered. The scan showed several clots in her lungs and it also showed a mass on her liver. The oncologist first diagnosed liver cancer and since the mass was relatively small we were hopeful that surgery and a round of chemo would take care of it. Yesterday the oncologist informed my wife that her situation was 'much worse than I originally thought' and told her that the tumor on her liver was a met, not a primary tumor. However, they haven't yet found out what her primary cancer is...they told her she metatastic disease but can't tell her what cancer.
We're both in a fog and feeling lost. I feel like I've been through hell these last three days, I can't imagine what my dear wife must think! She's putting on a brave face and trying to stay positive but this week has been brutal.
Please pray for her. Pray for healing and for her comfort. She is my wife of thirty years, my best friend and soul mate. I will be absolutely lost without her...
We continue our prayers for the constant assistance of heavenly hosts.
I’m praying for you both. Keep leaning on God for strength.
pgkdan, I’ll be praying for both you and your wife.
You and Janet continue to be in our prayers. God bless.
Thank you so much for this update, pgkdan. You & Janet remain in my prayers.
God continue to bless you and your wife. I don’t think I’ve always gotten the letters prior to ‘dan’ (pgk) right in my prayers but God knows who I’m talking about! Stay strong.
Thank you for the update FRiend, when you have so much on your emotional plate.
So glad to hear that she is doing better than expected, and do try not to burden your heart too deeply with worry : / Especially about the sleep aspect - from what little I understand, our bodies actually do the vast majority of their healing when it seems to us, that we are doing little of import.
Prayers continuing, for you both to remain in God’s loving, strengthening embrace.

Love and hugs and more prayers for you both. You two have remarkable courage—your faith will sustain you.
Prayer bump.
We got her formal diagnosis of Interhepatic Cholangiocarcinoma stage 4B. That's bile duct cancer, inside the liver. When discussing whether or not she should begin chemo the Dr. told her that she wouldn't live 6 months without treatment but could expect 8-12 months if she submits to treatment. We talked and talked and talked about her options. Since the Dr. promised to take every measure he could to prevent severe nausea she decided to do the chemo. Even if it only buys 2-6 months extra time there's no telling what can happen in those extra months. She agreed to the chemo but only so long as she has a decent quality of life. If her quality of live declines due to the chemo she's going to stop it.
So far she is handling the chemo extremely well. The only negative from chemo so far is that she's always tired and weak, but no nausea. So far so good. She starts her third round tomorrow and after this round she'll have CT scans to see if there's been any progression of her disease or any shrinkage of her tumors.
Janet asked that I extend her thanks to all of you and she's including the Freeper prayer brigade in her prayers. We both are! May God bless you all!
Oh, my. Bless your hear. May the Lord’s promises comfort you and your wife. Prayers for healing!
More prayers offered.
I will pray again for you and your wife. Thank you for your courageous attitude. That is encouraging to me.
So sorry to hear about your wife. I will pray for you both.
God bless you both and continued prayers for her healing. God can perform wondrous deeds.
Healing prayers for Janet..I am so glad she is tolerating chemo well..Prayers for her will continue..for her and for your strength. God be with you both and all who are providing her medical care.
Prayers up my friend. I’ve been there with the blood clots and pulmonary embolisms in both lungs to boot. Have had 2 two week stays in the hospital on heparin drips where I could not even get out of bed for 2 weeks. To find cancer on top if that - well I can’t even imagine it. I will pray for you both and the doctors too.
Prayers for God’s blessings on all. Thru the intercession of John Paul II may God grant her cure.
May God's love and warmth surround you both--individually, and as a devoted couple--as you go through this challenge.
