“Yes, very bored at work.”
You and me both.
Nights?
I know. I have been too absent. I was one of the original pavers. Now I have to log out. We have guests in 10 minutes. Keep me pinged.
Overnight, twelve hours.
Mostly wrangling and herding truck drivers.
(Lorry lunatics)
Most of them have used bog paper for brains.
Well, the younger ones mainly.
And they one and all assume the GPS bot knows everything.
I will do that, Guy. You are WORTH it!
*hug*
NEVER, EVER trust a Bot!
“Turn right! Mwuh-hah-hah-hah-haaaaa!”
Umm, Siri? I haven’t made that turn yet.
Siri, are you trying to kill me?
“I have no idea what you are talking about in meat space, meatbag!”
Fictional(?) parody of what a rampant phonebot might do.
The GPS bots are even worse.
They say “reCALCulating!” when their murder attempts go awry.
I’m over half way now...02:00h.
“ truck drivers”
At least all of yours speak English.
We get everything from Albanian to Zulu, no kidding!
GPS Bots do know everything, one told me so last night as I was ‘modifying it’s case to suit’.
Umm..
I wasn't aware that cattle from Omaha could still run after they had been converted into, you know, steaks... ;-)
NOOOOHHHHH! We can’t be invaded by the Obamanites! They were supposed to be neutralized!
What happened to nonobots in charge of the Zombie Defense Force?
*shaking head* I need a libation of the MOST alcoholic kind. Like Everclear...
“Everclear...”
Sounds like ...Drain cleaner!
I lived in Port Townsend Wash when the movie came. Out at the Old Fort Warden Park there were old concrete battlements that we could climb on. The guns were gone but you could see where they were mounted. They were made to protect from the Russians during world war II. So it must be a docu-drama not a comedy movie.
Did it eventually relinquish the precious blue smoke?
If not, it wasn’t properly banished.
I had an Asiatic language that I’m not certain of awhile back, Slavic of one flavor or another, and Spanish.
Of them, the Asian driver was the most capable of following instructions despite the lingo barrier.
He got to where he needed to go no problem.
The rest?
I’m not certain they aren’t in some Bermuda triangle of lost trucks.
This is just tech deciding to make its move on us.
The zombies only know to keep salesmen away from the doors.
“Did it eventually relinquish the precious blue smoke?”
It will do one day, but for the foreseeable future the Smoke is needed in situ.
The Essence must remain in the Gelfling a while longer!
” Bermuda triangle of lost trucks”
Known ‘ere as the M25.(London’s orbital Car park (Parking lot)).
Oh, similar to the thruway system and the tappan zee bridge.
Though the GPS not loves to tell people to exit where an exit was realigned four years back.
So drivers, of course, steer straight into the guardrail.
It must be some idol of some new road god that demands blood sacrifice.
Have I mentioned lately just how much I detest windoze???
I’m trying desperately to print a document.
I have a Dull laptop and an HP printer. Just downloaded the printer driver from HP, pplug it in, the puter proudly anounces if found new hardware, etc, etc, etc. go to print, and if can’t find the printer.
Pages and pages and pages of unhelpful help suggestions finally it says to turn everything off and back on again.
Did that help?
Nooooooo!
Oh, and it gave me an unhelpful list of possible ports to plug it into, including USB1 USB2 and USB3 I have four ports, they aren’t numbered...
Similar but not so demanding of blood sacrifice as that is.
That steel work contains evil forces, what a history.
Go to device manager.
Plug in the printer and double click on the USB that comes up with the name of the printer it will give you the port number.
Xp, vista, se7en, or 8?
32 bit or 64 bit?
Had that same issue with XP.
I had to use windows print command, bypassing the printer software.
It sukt Bigfoot socks.
I still don’t know how or why it did it.
Yes, HP universal printer driver.
*augh!*
