WASHINGTON (AP) New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is helping the Republican National Committee with a series of Texas fundraisers next week as he seeks a second term in his home state.
Christie is headlining three fundraisers in Texas for the RNC on Sept. 9. Organizers say the events include a breakfast in Dallas, a luncheon in San Antonio and a reception in Houston.
Christie is a longtime fan of the Dallas Cowboys and plans to attend the Cowboys' home opener on Sept. 8 with Ray Washburne, a Dallas businessman and the RNC's finance chairman. The Cowboys kick off against the New York Giants, who play in Christie's home state.

He can stay the hell home.
So Christie will be rooting against the New Jersey Midgets?
That’s what the article claims
I seriously doubt that. Texans aren't that stupid.
Will Texas AG Greg Abbott be at one of those fundraisers?
Other than Christie fighting with public sector unions, where do he and Obama differ?
I think a lot of Texans are in denial about how deep and wide the RINO cancer is rooted in the GOP of their state.
Take names of the attendees and kick their butts later.
Ted Cruz took out Dewhurst.
Now someone needs to take out Cornyn.
BTW My congressman who identifies as one of the 60-80 more conservative congressman like Gohmert and Bachmann had a big fundraiser a month ago featuring JOHN BOEHNER.
Congressman Scott Perry said he is “part of a team” led by Boehner.
I’M NOT IN DENIAL. MY CONGRESSMAN FAKES HIS CONSERVATISM LIKE OVER 90 PERCENT OF THE ELECTED REPUBLICANS DO......
Is he kidding?
Yes, he is a Dallas Cowboy fan!
“Yes, he is a Dallas Cowboy fan!”
Well, Gov Tubbie has at least one redeeming trait.
Christie is headlining three fundraisers - events include a breakfast in Dallas, a luncheon in San Antonio and a reception in Houston. They couldn't afford to feed Christie dinner.
Selling his body?
Jabba the christie alert!
Not blaming you for the headline, but the headline appears to mislead.
It SEEMS to say that Christie is raising money for the Texas GOP. I could not believe it when I read it. But after reading and thinking on it, what I think happens is that he’s touring Texas to raise money. He’s seeking Texas monied interests to help out the NATIONAL RNC. Obama fundraises in Texas. Remember? And if I recall correctly, Rick Perry fundraised in CA before he dropped out in 2012. So people go where the money is concentrated. But the headline is written in a way that makes it appear Christie is raising money in Texas for the Texas Republican Party, but I don’t think so.
If not, what am I missing?
I’m curious about the names of the Texas GOPers who will be in attendance.
I am not in denial. Texas has a feed sack full of GOPe that need to be gotten rid of and the Cornyman is one of them.
Our vote for Cruz in this home is the best one ever and we feel good about it. Our prayers go out to him to protect him from the corruption inside the cesspool of DC.
I am also not in denial that thinking elections are going to fix our problems. I think it is too broken to fix at this point with out some major intervention above the ballot “box”.
“Christie to raise money for GOP in Texas. I seriously doubt that. Texans aren’t that stupid.”
Agree. I’m guessing that Christie is testing the water to see how his brand sells in a solidly red state. We (Texians) will probably be polite, maybe just a little booing at the Cowboys game but I doubt that he will rake in a bunch of money. Well, Rove and Cornyn may help him out some. But, Texas has a strong Tea Party constituency. So, we shall see.....
It's obvious sillybilly man.. Christie is not Black, he's Pink.. Didn't your Mamma teach you this stuff? Sheeesh :)
Yeh — how much will Texans pay or contribute in order to not see him back in their state again.
BTW hide the potato salad.
