Despite being ignored by his many colleagues in economic circles for his dire warnings ahead of the crash of 2008, Faber has been on the mark about how stock markets would behave, what governments would do, and the subsequent effects on the global populace.
To say that he expects a crash would be an understatement.
According to Faber, what’s coming down the pike will be much, much worse than any crash we’ve seen in our lifetimes, which is why he’s previously recommended high voltage electric perimeter fencing and attack dogs as investments, along with farms outside of high population areas and machine guns to defend them.

I’ve been asked about buying ammo and couldn’t answer. It’s recommended that one have a minimum of 1,000 rounds per gun. The question is how does one go about buying that much ammo - rifle first?, handgun first?, shotgun first?, or some combo of each.

I am not impressed with that recommendation. In any serious collapse, electricity will be completely gone or at least intermittent. In any serious collapse, feeding multiple "attack dogs" may be a challenge. I would prefer a "plan" that is practical both in a civil society and if things go south.
There are already many many places in the world wherein people live in walled gated, razor wired, electrical fenced and armed guards is a way of life (South Africa, Mexico and Brazil are examples) and yet it’s not ‘Mad Max’ yet.

I’m glad I live in the “woods” (a forest actually) and the cave dwellers (city people) would initially have difficulty locating me. The need for high walls and steel fences are replaced by thousands of trees, rivers, swamps and lakes.
When/if the need arises, I am prepared to defend my wife and myself to the fullest extent if need be. We grow much of our own foor and could also live off the land for a long time.
We have all the heat and water we need with the exception of an unlimited supply of gasoline and natural gas to operate our well pumps and generator(s).
For now, we are prepared.

So do blow darts, bats, axes, etc.
If everyone rushed there, those would tip over.
As for defense and security, that's classified. ANY encroachment will be met with lethal force. No questions asked. No hesitation.
If you don't like the regulations now, then you're really not going to like them when it HTF. Regulations are exactly why you need to get out now while the getting is good.

You don’t have to shoot a lot, but you have to shoot often.
I shoot 30 rounds a week with my .45acp, 10 rounds per session, 3 times a week. I get consistent 3-4 inch groups at 45 feet. I’m no professional, but I won’t miss if it comes down to it.

I’ve been buying a box a week for over 2 years now. It adds up.
I now have a private supplier so I don’t even bother looking in stores now.
I have a practical plan to the best of my ability. Beyond my house, I live in the most conservative county in Texas. Around and in my house, if power goes out, I'll have battery power forever. I have battery fed security systems at the front and back of my house. I'll know if someone is there. I have a small footprint - no large house that would be a temptation for zombies.
I live in a small gated group of townhomes, but if power goes out, that gate will be open. We have men in here who are ex-military, but due to the majority of people in here having no preps and most being older, I don't know if they will stay here. I think they will go to family elsewhere as they tend to do if a hurricane comes through.
It's hard to judge what others may do so I have to do my own thing. I've decided my house and small back garden, is my “country” and I'm it's President for Life. (I loved the idea Idi Amen (sp) those years ago made himself “President for Life”. Was that Uganda?)
In my country (house/garden) where I'm President for Life, I control entry into my country. I profile, am not politically correct, and passport or not, no one enters my country unless he/she has approval from me, the President for Life.
I’m currently studying a book called “Breed Your Own Vegetable Varieties” by Carol Deppe. I highly recommend it! Even if you have no interest in creating new vegetable varieties, the information will help you maintain the varieties you have.
For instance, did you know that if you save seed from only one broccoli plant every year, within 2 or 3 years you won’t have any at all? Broccoli is among the plants most vulnerable to inbreeding depression, so it’s best to save seed from as many plants as possible (book recommends a minimum of 20) to keep yours from dying out. Same with corn and sunflowers, but not peas or tomatoes.
Good info, especially when the time comes and you can’t buy new seed.
