I nominate Hunter Mahan for Father of the Year!

Hunter was leading by 2 strokes in the RBC Canadian Open golf tournament going into 3rd round, with a potential 1st prize money in 7 figures. At the practice session this morning he received a cell phone call informing him his wife Candy had gone in labor expecting their first child (3 weeks early). Hunter immediately withdrew from the tournament and headed to his wife's side.

Really? Wouldn't he be worst father if he had not gone? And for what it is worth, I missed two tournaments when my wife went into labor on 5 July and gave birth on the 6th. Two separate tournaments. While I agree it was a classy move, it really is the only move.

Since Bill Clinton won it this year, Hunter Mahan’s competition is likely to be Anthony Weiner, so I’d vote for Hunter.
