Ok, so I don't know if it came from a liberal town or not, but if I was a betting man...
8.Have a nice day!
What part of “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness” do they not understand??
Celebrating Irony on Independance day
I can understand #4 and #5 but the rest are damn stupid.
Unfortunately, statist nonsense like this can no longer be safely said to be confined to “liberal” areas. It’s for our safety, dontyaknow?
Where we are (Oregon coast) .... someone flies the Rainbow flag on a tall flagpole.....instead of the American flag...that’s what Liberal looks like.
Their copy of the Declaration of Independence read "purfuit of happinefs" which is just jibberish to them.
:-)
Yeah, for years those Sparklers have been a real danger...

I would have thought the liberal idea of July 4th, would be that America was founded by greedy, evil white males, looking to exploit, rob, kill, maim, destroy the native population, trash the environment, and cause global warming. Did I miss anything?
Funny, I was just 2 minutes ago thinking that celebrating the fourth of July with fireworks and such seems kind of... meaningless given the present state of this nation.
9. Enjoy your Day of Independence.
10. We're from the state government, and we're here to protect you.
Someone should tear that flag down and run up some brown stained skivvies.

No firearms, ammunition, or weapons of any type
No Bibles, prayer, visible cross jewelery or displays of Christian faith of any sort
No copies of the Constitution, Declaration of Independence or the Federalist Papers
No T-Shirts with quotes from the Constitution, the Founding Fathers, the Declaration of Independence, or containing logos or images of gun rights, conservative or faith based organizations.
1.All generators, propane and gas fueled grills are prohibited.
I don't see the reason for this.
2.All tents and shelters are prohibited.
This one I understand if they're expecting a crowd. Many of these tents and shelters take up a lot of space. You can see 2-3, of 4-5 people in one when the space available would provide for twice that number if the tent/shelter wasn't there.
3.Police will be conducting searches of bags and coolers for reasons of public safety.
I understand the reasoning, but I disagree with it.
4.No alcoholic beverages are permitted at any time throughout the year.
That's so standard I'm going to ignore it.
5.No personal fireworks. This includes novelty fireworks like sparklers.
I have to agree with this one if it's crowded. I've seen too many idiots completely disregard the safety, personal space, rights of others and let their children do the same. I'll make an exception if I'm allowed to kick the stuffing out of anyone who throws a sparkler, smoke bomb, etc. at me.
6.No dogs or pets of any kind will be permitted in the park on July 4th.
If it's crowded, do we want people stepping and sitting in dog crap and spreading it all over?
7.The skate park, tennis courts, basketball courts and Kids Cove playground will be closed at 7:00 p.m.
I don't know the reason for this.
My town parks also forbid sparklers.
That is really sad.
I live in Suburbia Hell for now, but at least it is most a Texas version of Suburbia.
They hate it.
