On his show on Tuesday night, talk show host Michael Savage said that George Zimmerman, who is currently on trial for the murder of Trayvon Martin, should be found guilty of second-degree manslaughter based on two things: 1) The state of his firearm and 2) The language he allegedly used on a 911 call when he was first reporting his suspicions about Martin.
But first Savage explained why his insight should be valued over others in the media covering the trial.
Im about to break an analysis that no one yet in the media has done, as you would expect from me being the senior member of the American media and possibly the most insightful, Savage said. And I have to blow my own horn because everyone else tries to break my horn.
I will tell you that I broke the case down as follows, Savage continued. You want to hear it, or dont you want to hear it? I know your mind is made up: White people generally think Zimmerman is innocent, except for liberals who are sure he is guilty; black people probably to the 99th percentile are sure Zimmermans a murderer. So where does Michael Savage fit in? Im an independent observer and I call them as I see them, and I think Zimmerman committed what hes being charged with: manslaughter. He didnt intend to kill him, but he may as well have intended to kill him.
Savage laid out his case, saying that the murder could have been avoided, but based on Zimmermans gun having a round in the chamber with the safety off, Zimmerman intended to find some he could shoot or intimidate.(continued)

Savage’s take on this issue is moronic. He clearly doesn’t know jack about firearms nor tactics. The PF-9 has no safety and anyone who doesn’t carry one in the chamber is a fool. He is WAY off base on this issue.
You couldn't PAY someone else to do it for you?
Because your head is already up your *SS already, so it's an easy reach?
Your only listeners are comotose patients who can't blow their own noses, much less your horn?
Because nobody else could see your horn to blow it?
What horn?
Savage needs to ease up on the whiskey.
No wonder Savage is barred from Britain. He’s a dolt.
The problem with Savage, who can be brilliant at times, is that he has lifted being different and unconventional ABOVE being right. If Rush and Levin agree, Savage sometimes just goes the other way ......well......because....
This is a sad day for him.
I thought Michael Savage was a conservative? How could ANY conservative look at this case and see any valid reason this should even be in a courtroom, never mind a guilty verdict of any kind.
I am puzzled. Perhaps I am not thinking of the same Michael Savage?
Monday and Tuesday were Mike’s two worst shows, period. He had none of his facts straight, and was disseminating nothing but innuendo and conjecture. Even Savage fans were pretty disgusted. On other topics he can be right on the money, but on GZ/TV he’s completely out to lunch.
Savage is an asshole
Granted, I have never listened to him, so I don’t know if it is true, but I have heard some conservatives speak positively about him.
“based on Zimmermans gun having a round in the chamber with the safety off”
Never listened to Savage and the only thing I know is that sometimes he gets quite animated on his show. However, the about line from his story shows that he’s a complete moron.
I stopped listening to his ranting about 10 yrs ago. I enjoyed his show for a while but then I realized you never knew which Michael Savage was going to show up.
Savage is too full of himself, it seems. That’s not a good thing. You could die from being full of that guy.

Not that I know of. Loud-mouthed charlatan? Sure, absolutely.
“He is WAY off base on this issue.”
But he does need to be the contrarian, just to bring attention to himself.
