Oh, to be a religious leader. You can make up any ridiculous fairy tale and people have to believe it.

Ahmadinejad began and ended every major speech with a prayer for the return of the 12th Imam. This is like praying for the apocalypse. When the 12th Imam returns the middle east will be burned to the ground by flames and blood will run like rivers. (I think that’s an accurate quote.) I believe that Ahmadinejad is a true believer. If he does return with somebody claiming to be the 12th Imam it could cause real problems as there will be an instant following of other true believers. It could potentially really upset the political structure in Iran.
Killing both of them would be the obvious solution, but the powers that be will probably try to discredit them instead because killing them could cause even more problems.
Somebody pass the popcorn.

Isn’t the 12 Iman to be considered the Anti-Christ?
To: Patriot Babe
“Isnt the 12 Iman to be considered the Anti-Christ?”
I don’t know that he’s mentioned in Christian theology by name, but to my limited theological knowledge, I’d say he’s a contender.
Some would say that the anti-Christ is here and in politics now. I’d say you could make a case for that too. Perhaps there are several?
