“Isn’t the 12 Iman to be considered the Anti-Christ?”

I don’t know that he’s mentioned in Christian theology by name, but to my limited theological knowledge, I’d say he’s a contender.

Some would say that the anti-Christ is here and in politics now. I’d say you could make a case for that too. Perhaps there are several?

Is the 12 Imam the Anti-Christ? You decide, these are my notes for a Sunday school class:

Bible: AC is unparalleled political, military and religious leader that will appear in last days (little horn-Daniel)
Islam: Mahdi is unparalleled political, military and religious leader that will appear in last days

Bible: false prophet is secondary prominent figure that will support AC (Rev. 13:11-15)
Islam: Isa is secondary prominent figure that will support the Mahdi

Bible: AC and false prophet will have a powerful army that will do great damage to the earth in an effort to subdue every nation and dominate the world (Rev. 6:4-8, Dan. 11:40)
Islam: the Mahdi and Isa will have a powerful army that will do great damage to the earth in an effort to subdue every nation and dominate the world

Bible: false prophet described as a dragon in lamb’s clothing (Rev. 13:11)
Islam: Isa comes bearing the name of the Lamb of God, yet he comes to murder all who do not submit to Islam

Bible: AC and false prophet establish a new world order
Islam: the Mahdi and Isa establish a new world order (Daniel’s statue, Rev. 17:12-15)

Bible: AC and false prophet institute new laws for the whole earth (Rev. 17:12-15)
Islam: the Mahdi and Isa institute Islamic law all over the earth

Bible: AC said to change the times
Islam: Islamic law under the Mahdi would make Friday the day of rest, and replace the Gregorian calendar with the Islamic calendar (A.H.)

Bible: AC and false prophet will attempt to institute a one-world religion (Rev. 13:12; Daniel 11:36-39; 2 Thess. 2:4)
Islam: the Mahdi and Isa will institute Islam as the only religion of the earth

Bible: AC and false prophet will execute anyone who does not submit to their religion
Islam: the Mahdi and Isa will execute anyone who does not submit to Islam

Bible: AC and false prophet will use beheading as primary means of execution for non-conformists
Islam: Islamic law under the Mahdi uses beheading for executions

Bible: AC and false prophet will have an agenda to kill as many Jews as possible (Rev. 12:17)
Islam: the Mahdi and Isa will have an agenda to kill as many Jews as possible, until only a few are left hiding behind rocks and trees

Bible: AC and false prophet will attack to conquer and seize Jerusalem
Islam: the Mahdi and Isa will attack to re-conquer and seize Jerusalem for Islam

Bible: AC will set himself up in the Jewish temple as his seat of authority (2 Thess. 2:4)
Islam: the Mahdi will establish the Islamic Caliphate from Jerusalem

Bible: the false prophet is said to do many miracles to deceive as many as possible into supporting AC (Rev. 13:13-14)
Islam: the Mahdi will control the weather, his face will glow. We can assume that Isa will continue to perform miracles like he did before

Bible: AC is described in Rev. as riding a white horse (Rev. 6:2)
Islam: the Mahdi is described as riding a white horse (ironically from same verse)

Bible: AC is said to make a peace treaty with Israel for 7 years (Daniel 9:27)
Islam: the Mahdi is said to make a peace treaty through a Jew for exactly 7 years

Bible: Jesus will return to defend the Jews in Israel from a military attack from a vast coalition of nations led by AC and the false prophet
Islam: the Dajjal (Islamic AC) will gain a great Jewish following, claim to be Jesus Christ and fight against the Mahdi and Isa

Bible: the AC spirit denies the central doctrines of Christianity: the trinity, the incarnation and the substitutionary death of Jesus on the cross (1 John 2:22)
Islam: Islam doctrinally and spiritually denies the central doctrines of Christianity: the trinity, the incarnation and the substitutionary death of Jesus on the cross

Bible: Jesus and Paul warned Christians of the abundance of deceit and deception in the last days (2 Thess. 2:11)
Islam: perhaps only religion on earth that practices deceit to assist its own ascendancy. It has a specific doctrine that allows and even calls for deception to be used to achieve its desired end

Bible: the final AC empire will be a revived version of the empire that succeeds the Roman empire (Daniel’s statue)
Islam: the empire that succeeded the Roman/Byzantyne empire was the (Islamic) Ottoman empire

Bible: when AC emerges, there will already be some form of system in place that will be poised to receive him as a savior and to give allegiance to him
Islam: Islam is already the 2nd largest religion, at present growth rates will become the largest within a few decades.
