Before I tell you of all the new developments at government motors, I’d like to inform you of the true cost of the GM bailout. The “official” tally is ten billion, but the actual total cost to taxpayers is over 50 billion dollars. GM has a market cap (Net worth) of 28 billion. The paybacks we received from GM are the true, but kind. Read this for the true costs.

It's becoming increasingly difficult for me to achieve outrage.

I’ve gone from being a satisfied GM customer to being absolutely disgusted with the company. Thank Heavens for Ford, or I would be unable to buy domestic.

My BIL is still telling me how we are making money on the GM bailout. AKA the UAW money laundering scheme.

When will the right realize that there will never be any outrage over the criminal acts of Obozo and the Dems?

Agreed. It’s almost like “Yawn, and what else?”. I’ve gotten to the point where almost nothing surprises or shocks or astounds or baffles me anymore. Despite being sick and tired of it, it still PO’s me no end that the no/low info voters don’t give two damns as long as they get what they are “owed?. Di-friggin-sgusting!

I was disgusted by the use of taxpayers dollars to bail out a private company, but that’s not the worst of it. The unforgivable moral crime was the violation of contract law, common law, and bankruptcy law that allowed them to stiff the bondholders and others who had valid claims in order to reward the UAW and other politically connected favorites of Obama and his people. I am boycotting GM forever because of that shocking corruption. I do not deal with crooks, so that company is dead to me.

It’s not on my end. If others can hit it fresh (not cached), it’s my ISP’s problem. Thanks.

The media reported that GM paid back the debt and most believe it.

You are so right. Not only was morality broken with the use of taxpayer money for the bailout, but the rule of law has been broken so badly with the arbitrary determination of who got their investment back and who didn't that I don’t know if we can get it back.

Just like Jon Corzine stealing the supposedly segregated accounts at MF Global - no charges ever filed, despite testimony that he gave the orders to use that money? Now the CFTC is suing Corzine, to take his license to trade???

We are no longer a nation of equality under the law, at the federal, state or local level. Our elected officials look a laws as ‘tools’, to guide the sheeple in the ‘correct’ direction. I keep trying not to get discouraged. I’ll never buy anything from Government Motors though, for the rest of my life.

Welcome to FR.

Interesting post.

We will, however, become very owly if we begin to suspect you are just searching for clicks by posting tiny excerpts of what appears to be your own blog.

Not nice. We're here to share information. If you have something to say, then post the entire article. It it's worthwhile, you will gain readership from like-minded FReepers.
