I think given the President's speech on Global Warming today that this deserves pointing out.

Coal companies are busy exporting overseas. They’re setting records for exports. The ones hurt will be existing coal fired plants and by extension you and me.

Dirty little secret is that coal exports are WAY, WAY UP. Now instead of the coal getting burned here it will get burned in China with no scrubbers or pollution control of any sort. Bunch of dimwits!

June 10 Rasmusssen poll shows this piece of offal at 44% with Cuccinelli at 41%.
My state has gone insane.

What was the name of the company that he got out of with millions when everyone else went down the drain during the tech bust?

Most had no opinion of either so take the poll with a grain of salt. We are going to win this one. Some have forgotten who Terry McAuliffe is. We need to remind them that he is no moderate.

Hopefully someone, ANYONE, will ask him in a public forum:
WHY don't you want another coal plant built?
Do you have a problem with American construction and energy jobs?
Or do you have a problem with Americans using the resources we have under our land while they are still valuable? (Renewables are likely the future, so fossil fuels will be worth nothing by then. Why not use them when they have value??)
Or maybe you have a problem with Americans burning that coal, when we have the highest emissions standards, and you'd rather we sell the coal to those with far lower coal-burning emissions standards?
Or is it all of the above?

I don’t give a poop what you thing, Terry!
As a citizen of a state with a lot of coal, I want to see more coal plants build to make jobs and money and to generate electrical energy.
So why is your opinion more important than mine? If I ran for governor, would my opinion suddenly become more important?

Thanks, Maelstorm; your response gave me more optimism.
I’m talking about McAuliffe every chance I get. I can’t imagine having to hear the nasal honk of that carpetbagging liberal for four years.

Global Crossing.... CEO Winnick helped Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe turn a $100,000 stock investment into $18,000,000.
Winnick later donated $1 million to Bill Clinton’s presidential library. In 1998, George H. W. Bush gave a speech in Tokyo on behalf of Global Crossing, for which he was compensated with $50,000 of Global Crossing stock, which he sold in 1999 and 2000 for more than $4.5 million.
This kind of crap rubs everybody with funny pump n dump money.

The enviro wackos here in Oregon are already on that. They are lobbying to prohibit exports both for the damage the mining and transportation of coal causes and for the fact the coal will be burned somewhere and there is only one atmosphere.
