Obama tells Germans: I’ll use executive orders to tackle global warming
Canada Free Press ^ | June 20, 2013

I wonder if the Germans gave any thought as they were listening to this to what can happen when an elected executive consolidates too much power for himself under the guise of some sort of emergency or crucial imperative. Obama’s friends at the AP, when they’re not mad at him for snooping on their phone calls, report:

The plan, with details expected to be revealed in coming weeks, comes as Obama has been under increasing pressure from environmental groups and lawmakers from states harmed by Superstorm Sandy to cut pollution from existing power plants, the largest source of climate-altering gases. Several major environmental groups and states have threatened to sue the administration to force cuts to power plant emissions. And just last week, former Vice President Al Gore, a prominent climate activist and fellow Democrat, pointedly called on Obama to go beyond “great words” to “great actions.”

It was unclear whether the White House’s plans would include controls on existing power plants. An administration official, who wasn’t authorized to comment on the plan by name, said the White House was still weighing it. But since the administration has already proposed action on future power plants, the law would likely compel it to eventually tackle the remaining plants, or it would be forced to through litigation.

Obama’s remarks in Berlin echoed comments he made in his State of the Union and inaugural speeches this year.

“This is the global threat of our time,” Obama said Wednesday. “And for the sake of future generations, our generation must move toward a global compact to confront a changing climate before it is too late. That is our job. That is our task. We have to get to work.”

Some environmentalists who cheered those remarks when they were made months ago, criticized them Wednesday.

The evil Obama regime is now going to be in the business of regulating hurricanes and tornadoes? Sandy was not a super storm. New Jersey residents are fortunate that Sandy was only a class ONE hurricane. A good beginning would be the regulating of hot wind coming from Obama's mouth.

Using Executive Powers is what a lying, phony mystery man ensconced in the White Hut uses in order to avoid a national discussion of a very thorny issue that is truly one of the big lies in the past 100 years.

The Germans should really like this idea given their successful past history with leaders who used executive orders to come up with final solutions for the problems facing the nation.

Their wish should be our command. Cut off all power grids into the north east. Shut down the pipelines. No coal shipments...nada. Turn the place into a middle ages fiefdom.

Ha....try regulating the Sun...

(PhysOrg.com) -- Sunspot formation is triggered by a magnetic field, which scientists say is steadily declining. They predict that by 2016 there may be no remaining sunspots, and the sun may stay spotless for several decades. The last time the sunspots disappeared altogether was in the 17th and 18th century, and coincided with a lengthy cool period on the planet known as the Little Ice Age.

Why not? All of the other socialist dictators do it. Why should Obama be tied down by trivial notions like the Constitution and democracy?

“Superstorm Sandy” was a fairly moderate hurricane. The damage was caused by where it happened to hit.

The problem is that no large hurricanes have hit the U.S. coast in years and it conflicts with the “Global Warming is causing hurricanes” narrative.
