Things are getting strange as state GOP leaders head toward a Saturday decision on who is going to be the new chairman of the Illinois Republican Party.
Last night U.S. Senator Mark Kirk was on WTTW’s Chicago Tonight with Carol Marin. One of the topics covered was the resignation of Party Chairman Pat Brady. The discussion went like this: (see video below at 4:26 minutes)

Who is this "we" 1010RD is referring to? I have no doubt who 1010RD and the other Kirk cheerleaders supported in the Fitzgerald vs. Dickerson primary, and it wasn't Fitzgerald. Not only that, they denounced the primary results and declared shortly afterwards that because "right wing extremist" Fitzgerald was the nominee, "Carol Moseley Braun WILL now be re-elected because Fitzgerald CANNOT win in a MODERATE state like this"
And 1010RD and his fellow RINOs are still eating crow over it. Helps explain their amnesia about him whenever they discuss IL politics.
Watch out for 2014... I bet next year they'll be having amnesia about gay marriage failing this year as well. They, their heroes Kirk, Topinka, and Pat Brady, AND the liberal media ALL told us there was NO chance of stopping it and demanded we surrender to the Dems for months so we can get "moderate" voters to like us. It must really suck for RINOs when we ignore the choir of "CONSERVATIVES CANT WIN" and stop the marxists anyway.
I will never vote for Kirk or anything like him. If this state and nation really MUST be destroyed, let the Demonrats do the destruction rather than spineless elitist totally unprincipled polo player Demonrats posing in GOP drag like Kirk. On social issues, Kirk is no better than Durbin and both are horrendous enemies of Western Civilization. In better times both would have been burned at the stake as a double-header. Alas, we no longer mete out such justice. And I coulda sold popcorn to an enthusiastic crowd! On military issues, Kirk has a smidgeon of an edge, mitigated by an undoubtable preference for diployak over action. Both are gun grabbers extraordinaire and eager baby-killers and sodomy supporters. I am not a trust fund baby nor a Jnior Leaguer nor do I make the trust fund babies the center of my political attentions: advantage Durbin. Durbin and Kirk are equally corrupt scum and servants of the Machine.
You may as well elect Bill Ayres. After all, his dad was chairman or CEO of Com Ed. His dad was a good man of business....who funded Students for a Democratic Society (premier campus commies of their era) and his son's seditious activities.

Fitzgerald was running against the Combine. The Combine put their force behind Moseley Braun, INCLUDING their Republican establishment puppets, who spent most of 1998 telling Illinois how "dangerously radically right-wing" Fitzgerald was. They pulled the same schtick sabotaging Al Salvi in '96 when he dared to upend the anointed Bob Kustra (who was designated to take his turn succeeding Combiner Dem Paul Simon, for whom had suffered the indignity way back in 1972 when non-Combiner Dan Walker beat him in the primary for Governor. Of course, poor Walker spent the next 4 years in open warfare with Mayor Daley, Sr., until he was run out of office).
The IL GOP, so long as it participates in the unholy Combiner union with the Democrats (for which Kirk & Durbin & ex-reformer-turned-Combiner Quinn all have a membership in good standing), will remain as equally responsible for the corruption and decay that has radiated out of Chicago for most of the past century. What a sad, sorry state of affairs when reformers have to fight not only the opposition party, but an even uglier war against their so-called allies. Of course, this is now a national problem since DC-centered Combinerism has taken hold full force.
And don’t forget when the Combine turned against the moderate to conservative downstate Democrat in the Poshard-G. Ryan governor’s race. The crook is always the guy the combine backs.

Another Madigan/Emanuel puppet who is law partners with a top Dem operative and has given thousands of dollars to Chicago machine Democrats will be replacing Pat Brady. Today, I talked to my SCC member, Mark Shaw. He said that he voted for Dorgan because it was obvious that Dorgan would have won, even without Shaw’s vote, and because Dorgan told Shaw that Shaw could be the statewide field director. Shaw said that he’ll be in charge of recruiting people to run for the state legislature, county board, and precinct committeeman. He said that Dorgan’s victory is a victory for conservatives, since Shaw will help find candidates.
Why did Mosley-Fraud win so easily in 1992? Didn’t the combine like Dick Williamson?
