As I begin this post, please understand something. I am not an expert on the different sects of Muslims that live in Muslim countries. I have no inside knowledge or great revelation as to why they so easily resort to violence to address their grievances against each other. Having said that, no expert knowledge is needed to see what is right in front of our faces. Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims do not get along and their preferred method of resolution is to kill each other. That's what we are seeing in Baghdad.
According to the reports I have read, almost 70 people are reported dead from an estimated 11 car bombs that went off in Baghdad on Monday.
BBC News - At least 66 people have been killed in a series of car bombs targeting mainly Shia areas in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, police say. Many more were wounded as at least a dozen explosions hit busy shopping areas and markets in the city. There has been a recent marked rise in attacks in Iraq linked to growing political and sectarian tension. It has raised fears of a return to the levels of sectarian violence seen in 2006 and 2007, in which thousands died.
The discussion of the latest outbreak of violence in Iraq leads me to my main point. More than ever, I realize the folly of having American troops in these countries. We entered Iraq in 2003 and formally withdrew our troops in December 2011. The only real change I can see is that Saddam Hussein is no longer alive. The violence between Muslims is still there and appears to be growing.
We entered Afghanistan in October 2001 and are still there, albeit we are drawing down our troops. Have we accomplished anything of value? Is the Taliban defeated, or are they just waiting for us to leave? Is Al-Qaeda defeated, or are they too just biding their time? It's hard to judge the correct answer to either of those two questions, but I believe it is safe to assume the answer may not be exactly what we want to hear.
I hate that we have seen so many lives lost in Iraq and Afghanistan, with no real accomplishments to show for our efforts. Our troops have performed admirably and with honor, fighting an enemy with one hand tied behind their backs because of the rules of engagement. I know they must feel a certain amount of helplessness, having to fight in a manner that almost assures they can not win. I hate that it seems like they are leaving in defeat, but it is time we were out of both countries.
It is time we all realize just how useless our fight in these countries has been. Ostensibly, we are fighting to bring them to the point of having a democracy for their government, but we need to realize something. Muslims do not want a democracy. If they did, could they not have already had one? For hundreds of years, they have killed each other. Sunni Muslims kill Shi'ite Muslims and vice-versa. Nothing has changed in hundreds of years and our men and women who have died trying to bring them democracy has had no effect. They are still killing each other.
My suggestion is this. We need to leave all Muslim countries and tell them to have at each others throats. Let them kill each other all they want, but with one word of warning. The violence they perpetrate must stay within their borders. If they insist on exporting said violence, hellfire and brimstone will rain down upon them from our military. If it takes turning their desert into glass, then so be it. They are the ones who insist on committing these acts of violence. Let them be the ones who suffer from their stupidity, not the rest of the world.
W was delusional if he thought we could civilize those people.
That’s just them practicing.
So, what should the response have been to the slaughter of 9/11? Wipe them off the map and start over? (I’m referring primarily to Afghanistan, but Iraq is tangentially culpable.)
The solution of course is Christianity.
Allow Christian areas to be set up (with power, water, schools, hospitals, etc.) as refuges for all.
ANY action actions or attacks against them are to be met with overwhelming force and EVERY mosque within reach or range blasted to smithereens on the next Friday night.
It would work, too.
Send in more bombs and get out of their way!
And yes, Bush was foolish and naïve to think he could graft a viable democracy onto a trunk of hatred.
How do you get to be a Mullah?
Do they have divinity schools, or do you just say one day you are a Mullah, and start issuing Jihads, and Fatwa’s and screwing the local goats & young boys.
A Memorial Day Tribute to Military Working Dog Bak
Last week I brought you the heart wrenching story of Military Working Dog Baks Memorial Service at Fort Stewart Georgia. MWD Bak was killed this past March in Afghanistan.
As a tribute to MWD Bak on Memorial Day, here is his story.
There was nothing better than seeing those Afghan mountain peaks slowly turning from brown to white. It seemed that, as the snow melted away, US Army Sergeant Marel Molina and his Military Working Dog Baks time remaining in Afghanistan withered away day by day.
But Sergeant Molina couldnt think about going home today, even though he was a short two months away. He had work to do.
No, that wasnt right. He and MWD Bak had work to do.
Keeping his Green Beret team alive was hard work.
Sergeant Molina listened intently as Captain Pedersen, his Green Beret Alpha Team leader, discussed that days mission with the Afghan local policemen. But Molina barely understood a word of their exchange.
He was always impressed that many of these Green Berets could speak Pashtun, one of the predominant languages in Afghanistan.

When Muslims run out of Jews or Christians to kill, they turn on each other. Historical fact. And they justify it by charging the targeted Muslims with not being true Muslims.
Secular dictatorship is the ONLY form of government that `works’ in the Muslim world.
This particular group of muzzies are still operating in the 14th century and will never move forward. They only know one thing: If you don’t believe the way I do, you will be killed. Animals who have never and will never move into a more modern world.
Two thoughts: Japanese and German society is far more civilized than the Arab world..which has never had a viable democracy. Also, first, we utterly destroyed both countries BEFORE rebuilding them. The people FEARED us..in Iraq, we are encumbered by our slavish concern with PC behavior..just look at Obama's speech last week..."we will never again use drones if there is any chance of innocent civilian getting killed.." He just invited Al Qaeda to set up training camps inside elementary schools.
Shi’ites hate Sunnis because Sunnis killed Ali about 1350 years ago. Why else would they still be butchering each other?
Send in more bombs and get out of their way!
Agreed. My first thought upon reading the headline was, “Works for me. What’s the problem?”
This article is one more positive analysis of why any effort of attempting to bring Islamic regimes/republics into the modern world will ultimately fail. I spent from 2003 to 2008 in Iraq off/on both as a Anti-Terrorism Officer (CPT) and Operations Chief for the DSS/HTO under Blackwater and watched this violence spur on a daily basis of who will control what. Be it Shia targeting Sunni or vice-verse, or each unique tribe targeting their own to gain a foothold in the economic, political, social, or religious realm. Islam understands and appreciates one element that Christian nations do not employ and actually criminalize, that is, violence! Saddam wasnt a bad man when measured with Islamic fundamentals, he held together a fracturing area of the Middle East the only way any one could. Maliki is doing nothing short of what Saddam did, the only difference is that the Shia control that area. Its not a nation, but an area of tribes that go beyond any borders that European powers drew out. When the US pulled out at the end of 2011, Iran was in full control of the Maliki regime and still maintains that power. I saw it first hand in 2006 in Karbala.
But why should you care? If you want to survive and prepare for whats coming to the US and what is already occurring in Europe and other areas around the world, read and study now. These events will grow and fester like an unchecked virus, and I doubt you want to be caught in the middle of it!

Sunni or later Shiite happens.
Muzzies should be encouraged to kill each other until just a few survive to continue hatred for most anything good. They should continue to live in mud huts and don’t bother to attend school, where they might learn how to progress.
