By voting with their feet, however, social conservatives are not giving up, they are taking a public stand -- which creates a forum to make their case more effectively. They should take this opportunity to argue that the practice of homosexuality has a negative impact not just on the family but also on individuals -- that it expresses a profound disrespect for a persons biological identity.
Biologically, physiologically, males and females are clearly counterparts to one another. The male sexual and reproductive anatomy is obviously designed for a relationship with a female, and vice versa.
Homosexual practice thus requires individuals to contradict their own biology. It disconnects a persons sexuality from his or her biological identity as male or female -- which exerts a self-alienating and fragmenting effect on the human personality.
And the logic of alienation will not stop there. Already the acceptance of same-sex relationships is metastasizing into a postmodern notion of sexuality as fluid and changing over time.

A couple of months old, but a good article from Nancy Pearcey(author of "Total Truth") and a good response to "libertarians" who claim to want marriage redefinition and a smaller state. The two goals are simply incompatible with each other.

Just what isn’t acceptable anymore? I mean if we main stream sodomy, where are the limits?

There are no limits except for maybe keeping it to “consenting adults”. And that will probably deteriorate as well.

Have you noticed how common and mainstream the term libertarian has become, have you notice how is is being first combined and mixed with “conservative” and how occasionally it is used even in place of it?

Yep. It sounds “cool” to be libertarian. I like and endorse you tagline: “Social liberalism/libertarianism, empowers, creates and imports, and breeds, economic liberals.”
After all, someone has to pay for the consequences of the social liberalism and it always ends up being the taxpayers.

Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers... [Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform]
- ...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said. [Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance]

One day after announcing on his radio show that he is "truly considering" running in 2014 for the U.S. Senate seat now held by New Jersey's Frank Lautenberg, Rivera amped up his message today in a television interview and a column on the Fox News Latino website... a moderate Republican who is fiscally conservative but also supports gay marriage and Roe v. Wade... [Geraldo Rivera declares himself a 'moderate Republican' as he eyes U.S. Senate run]
