Our friends at Breitbart have been doing an outstanding job focusing attention on some of the grievous abuses of power we see coming from this administration. Heres yet another example:
Dr. James Dobson was a guest on the Hannity show Friday night to talk about the treatment his Christian, pro-family, group, Family Talk Action got from the IRS when they applied for a 501(c)(4), a process he said went on and on and on for 19 months.
When his lawyer called the IRS to find out what the problem was, an IRS rep named Medley told him, we dont think were going to approve your application. When he asked, why, she answered, because youre a right wing organization, and youre political, and youve been critical of the President and we dont think you give other people an opportunity to express their views, and besides that youre not educational. An answer Dr. Dobson took great umbrage at.
Do you want to rewrite your application and resubmit it? she asked Dobsons lawyer. He answered, no, well just have to litigate, and about eight days later they got their 501(c)(4).

You must not speak badly of der Fuhrer comrade.

Now and then, the mere threat of an assault lawyer gets the job done.
Well, you can’t be a political advocay group and have that 501(c)(4) status.
You have to be non political. Like for example, “Organizing For Action” OFA.
Organizing for Action (OFA) is a nonprofit social welfare organization and community organizing project in the United States, heavily affiliated with the Democratic Party. It is the successor of U.S. president Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign and of Organizing for America, which itself succeeded Obama’s 2008 campaign.
Founded after President Obama’s re-election, the group seeks to mobilize supporters in favor of Obama’s legislative priorities. OFA is registered as a 501(c)(4)organization

Enjoy.
No more speculating on the why. As if we all didn't know, there it is.
Obama’s Public Allies still going strong at http://www.publicallies.org
Ping.
Its more than “now and then”. These people are dumber than dirt. The problem for most is they don’t have the money or time to challenge them and they know that.
And when they lose, and they lose often, they do their level best to keep things out of the court record, so as not to set case law that others can use.
As I understand it, 501c(3) groups can’t do partisan politics at all; 501c(4) groups can legally do some but politics can’t be a major part of their operations.
If they recorded that conversation will it be admissible in court ? Rep should be in deep doo doo.
The problem with all this will it make its way to the House Ways and Means Committee chaired by Ryan ? The House should be scheduling setting up a Select Committee and start getting testimony from those publication editors and reporters using material illegaly sent to them from the IRS.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Remind anyone of these scum who did nothing wrong and couldn’t remember anything?
