Here's the tweet:
The #Benghazi TPs were written at request of the House intel committee Rs so they could go on TV. Cong forced admin to do them now attack— Tommy Vietor (@TVietor08) May 10, 2013
Panic time.
Keep talking about Benghazi in any capacity.
Then ask, WHO GAVE THE STAND DOWN ORDER?
Answer: Obama left 4 Americans to die.
Delusions are never pretty...
Why is this not believable??? BECAUSE...if so..they would have been saying this very early on
Ain’t THAT the truth! LOL!
that’s a damm good point.
If he could blame the Republicans he would have done so long before now
Nobody actually gave a “stand down” order. Military forces can only do things that they are ordered to do, and nobody gave the order for them to go there. They were ready to go but then were told they couldn’t go because no one was responding to their requests and giving them the order to go.
That’s Obama and Hillary’s way of completely avoiding the issue. Just don’t respond to the phone calls, emails, etc. Pretend you’re asleep or you’re feeling kinda sickly and you just didn’t notice.
It is perfectly obvious now that Hillary and Obama and everyone in the WH knew all about the attack, although possibly Obama wanted to be at one more remove and went to bed after giving Hillary orders not to respond to requests for help. Or possibly he left it all in the hands of Valerie Jarrett, after agreeing on the strategy (no response) with her. That way he could plausibly say he knew nothing about it.
wow this will be a study in gov’t idiocy.
who is in charge, really?
I have family in Australia and wow what they say... like almost everyone outside the us they were in love w/ 0dumbo early. Now they just think he’s a idiot [they haven’t progressed to “evil” yet] and wonder why we can’t get rid of him.
Ludicrous. Delegating the decision to Hillary or Jarrett doesn't exonerate him from having any responsibility for what happened. If Obama were to offer that ridiculous explanation, it would cause a firestorm.
What does that even mean?
So how did the first two go to Benghazi on the first flight from Tripoli? Were they disobeying orders?
Do you think that everyone in military cannot not act without receiving explicit orders to do so? The reality is that there is latitude on what can be done allowing initiative and decision-making at local levels.
Although the military element, except for the DAO, was not under the Charge's operational control, Hicks wanted them to go to Benghazi. It was stopped by someone up the military chain of command. We don't know why. And it raises the question as to why the first two special ops types were allowed to go to Benghazi. Was it authorized by the military? Or by the CIA? Or was it a local decision? Perhaps, it was local, which is why the military chain of command stopped the second group from going.
This is the reason General Ham needs to appear before Congress along with Dempsey. I find it hard to believe that we didn't have military air assets in Turkey or Kuwait that could have been sent into Libya.
I didn’t say it exonerated him. Obama obviously knew in advance and there’s no question in my mind that he gave orders or that Jarrett, speaking on his behalf, gave them.
But his whole strategy - and that of Hillary and the others, as well - is building “plausible deniability.”
He’s trying to dump this on Hillary and he’ll try to keep Jarrett out of it because she’s not even supposed to be filling in for him and making such decisions. Hillary was certainly complicit, but she didn’t come up with this strategy - “pretend not to notice” - on her own and she didn’t carry it out on her own.
I bet she’ll go down in flames for Obama, though. She’s going to claim that any inconsistencies in her testimony were because she hit her head (remember that lame attempt) or because she had stomach flu or some such nonsense.
It’s all about deniability. Remember when Nuland demanded changes to the memo because her “building’s leadership” (State Dept.) was not happy with it. They don’t even name each other for fear of being held responsible. Unless, of course, it is really the building that is making the decisions - which would probably have been better all around.
Even though I have absolutely no faith that anything will ultimately come from this...why do I get the feeling that Dems are desperately trying to get ahead of the Sunday talk shows?
Something else to drop?
>>Or possibly he left it all in the hands of Valerie Jarrett, after agreeing on the strategy (no response) with her. That way he could plausibly say he knew nothing about it.
Which is probably what happened.
The FAST teams have a standing order to do a rescue mission when required. They WOULD have done so unless told to "stand down". The Dems have said that there was an issue with crossing the border of Libya without permission. Whistleblowers said permission was denied and the order to stand down was given by "high ranking U.S. officials" who remain unnamed to this day.
I think those two actually did disobey orders, or at least, they pretended not to hear them or were on their way before anything could stop them.
I believe Hicks mentioned the name of the officer or at least the position of the person who stopped the flight by saying that they had not received authorization (presumably, from DC) to do it. I don’t think the scandal is at that military level.
The Obama/Jarrett/Clinton plan was actually quite simple: don’t respond, and then deny, deny, deny. That way there’d be no fingerprints.
I agree that they all need to appear before Congress, particularly Ham.
Where was Obama when SHTF?
