Some people might be startled to hear Democratic strategist James Carville out there on ABC's This Week (with fellow Clinton alum Stephanopouos)
-the 'progressive' home field- praising conservative rising-star Ted Cruz up-and-down like this- yet it appears that's precisely the reaction he was looking for:
'I think he is the most talented and fearless Republican politician Ive seen in the
last 30 years.
I further think that hes going to run for president and he is going to create something.
... Ive listened to excerpts of his speech in South Carolina.
He touches every button, and this guy has no fear. He just keeps plowing ahead. And he is going to be something to watch... if there's one thing this guy ain't, it's squishy.'
Obviously JC's not trying to drive interest in -or money towards- Sen Ted Cruz (R-Texas) by pointing out the guy who did so much to kill Obama's gun bill is gifted-
and sure to be moving-on to bigger and better things as opportunity presents itself. We can all see that.
What Carville's doing is sounding an alarm to the left's MSM/new media attack machine: IT'S TIME to rip into Cruz just as fast as you can concoct a disingenuous narrative to do it with. Then wash, rinse, repeat until November 2016... same way you tore Palin to shreds in most leftists', many Republicans', and 99% of uninformed idiots' eyes over the last four years.
As might be expected, Demo-socialists in the most dire career situation are usually the most loyal left-wing attack dogs in such character assassination campaigns, happy to help nuke a good person's honor in a craven attempt to keep themselves relevant/employed another week.
In this case, corrupt, perverted former NM Governor Bill Richardson promptly spewed these gems: Cruz is 'uncivil' and 'rude', and 'sort of the Republicans' latest flavor'. But the cherry on the sundae has got to be 'I don't think he should be defined as a Hispanic, he's a politician... from a conservative state'
But your name is Richardson- and you ARE 'Hispanic enough'?
Just like Allen West shouldn't be defined as 'black'- seems his mind just ain't right, IS IT you racist slob?

James Carville is anti-Hispanic?
Isn’t that a hate crime or something?
Liberals really should be much more careful how they craft their legislation. It comes back to bite them in the gluteus maximus.

Meaning he isn’t scared of the leftist establishment?

Cruz frightens them even more than Palin - he is inside their heads like Palin still is.
It ammuses me to see what gets the Libtards in a frenzy.

This time maybe our side can have his back batter than we did with Palin, now that we know what’s coming ahead of time...

I further think that hes going to run for president... So are a bunch of other conservatives. Once you get Cruz and Rubio and Perry and Brownback and Paul and Palin and Santorum and Bachmann and a couple of others all vying for the same segment of the base it's impossible to tell who will wind up on top.

Cruz-Palin ticket Palin was the veep candidate in 2008. Why would she want to do it again? If she runs she'll run for the top of the ticket or nothing.

At his core, Carville is a very competitive campaign manager. He is also very smart and very astute.
Carville is sounding a warning to his fellow Democrats, but he also respects aggressive, attacking politicians and dislikes wimpy politicians, so I do think Carville respects Cruz.

If Serpent Head hates him, that’s good enough for me. Watch for them to attack him full force in about another year. They attempt to destroy all enemies.
To: Reaganite Republican
I wouldn’t count on it. Some are already declaring him ineligible due to their multitude of fantasy definitions.

Gotta love Ted Cruz's effective, unashamed promotion of conservatism. We certainly could use a few dozen more politicians on the national scene like him, but he is not a
natural born Citizen, so he cannot ever become president or vice president (yes, I know that didn't stop aka obama).
He could do the country a great service by holding a series of very public press conferences whereupon he discusses the very serious doubts about his ineligibility based upon both his foreign birth and his father's non-citizen status (back when Ted Cruz was born). He could educate the country as to the original intent of founders and remind the press and public that this issue has already been decided by the supreme court as affirming the definition requiring birth free from any foreign allegiances (born exclusively 100 percent American by both blood and dirt). He could bring up the simple, irrefutable fact that the founders intended that to assume the presidency, one must be more than a mere born citizen, but be in fact a natural born Citizen. He could then rhetorically ask, "Why would the founders have included the modifier 'natural' in the phrase if it added absolutely no additional meaning?"
Ted Cruz has been presented with a golden opportunity to bring this issue to the national spotlight. I hope he is man enough and patriotic enough to do it.

Not bad. But as the legendary Jimmy Buffett has his Parrot Heads, Ted Cruz should have his following of Wacko Birds. And, I proudly go on record as one of the first Ted Cruz Wacko Birds! :)
