Excellent point; also, a Barf Alert was obviously superfluous.

Can we all agree that I absolutely have the right to bear arms on your property whether you permit it or not and any law saying I don’t have that right is an infringement?

I would say it all depends on whether I have a gun and whether the 'law' prevents me from owning a gun.

If you have a gun, and I don't.... you win.

i say this turd’s ability to free speech should be rescinded and force him to get a permit, approved by a popular vote, before allowing him to speak again. from that point, if he does anything to offend anyone, his free speech would be permanently retracted

if it’s ok for the 2nd amendment... it should be done to the 1st

or his right to breathe- tax him for air- force him to pay for it and only him- and make hte tax so burdensome that he must declare bankruptcy- then throw him in debtor’s prison-

and whiel we’re at it- make it illegal for him to write out his thoughts- to express his beliefs-

Would be funny if dear leader contacted him and told him it’s agaisnt hte law for him to express his views in public any longer-

Funny how the wisdom of our Nation’s Forefathers comes down to four words included in the Second Amendment to the Constitution, “Shall Not Be Infringed”.

As I always ask those who want to “amend” the Constitution, why is it that the only Amendment that uses the phrase “Shall Not Be Infringed” is the Second Amendment?

It doesn’t say, may, could, should or unless Obama wants to, it says SHALL NOT be infringed. That is all I need to know.

I thank God every day that I was born an American. Too bad half of the people living in this Great Country don’t realize how fortunate they really are, like the Marxist Usurper and his Wife living in the White Hut on our dime.

Typical commie. What would you expect. We could crash the FreeRepublic servers with the articles written last week alone by America’s various anti-gun commies. This is nothing new.

No. But that sophistry has nothing to do with the right to keep and bear arms being an absolute. You don't have a right to be on someone's property without their permission which does nothing to impair your right to keep and bear arms. Kind of a pathetic attempt at a straw man if you ask me.

we have rights because God gave us rights.

right to life - no murder, we are people made in God’s image, you are not allowed to unjustly destroy a person made in the image of God

right to self defense up to killing in self defense - to preserve right to life

God’s laws define rights and set up just and unjust reasons for taking a life.

libtards who hate God ignore where our human history of laws and precedents come from.

“...that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights...”

Yep. My kids at first thought that I was nuts when I told them that the Government didn’t give me the right to own a gun - GOD did. They understand it now.

I agree with you... read through my Father-in-Laws written experience as a radioman/gunner in WWII. We lost him on April 13th, which coincided with the day he was shot down in Europe in 1944. He was a young guy, but over and over again he called out to God and praised his fellow service team as “great AMERICANS” and talked about giving it to the enemy and preserving the AMERICAN way. I met him later in life and he was funny and did not seem to exude a spiritual aura... but after going through his writings from his POW internment and escape and his subsequent writings stateside, I realized that he was the most faithful person I think I could ever know. Most of all he was a great American and loved his country and his fellow countrymen who fought alongside him.

Those who deny God, deny His Word... so it is easy for them to deny rights to all... they have rejected all that God has blessed them with and seek to deny you of the same.

I’m not asking for an absolute right. I’m not asking for the right to shoot deer in a Walmart parking lot. I’m not asking for the right to wave a pistol at another driver during road rage. I’m not asking for the right to own a howitzer.

I demand the right to keep and bear arms. Period

I agree. I certainly see no reason people should not be allowed to own them. They did own things like that up to and probably after the Civil War.

It’s a hard line to draw I’ll admit but it seems weapons that cause mass destruction don’t belong in individual hands. My right to keep and bear a gun is for individual protection. If a situation develops that moves me and an appreciable number of my neighbors to armed action we can form a militia. I don’t think I or my neighbor has a right to own canisters of mustard gas, tactical nukes or howitzers.

You and your neighbors already ARE the militia, or should be, and as such (should) have access to such weapons.

Just keep in mind the only way in the past to really get the attention of FedGov™ was to shell one of their military installations with artillery fire.

My right to keep and bear a gun is for individual protection.

That is a side benefit of the second amendment, not its primary purpose.
