Weve all seen the video tapes. On three different occasions Friday there were FUSILLADES heard. What happened to all the rounds that missed their mark?
Someone else suggested, and I was thinking the same thing, that many of those reports were blanks (not all) or rubber bullets, etc. They were trying to get him to surrender and didn’t want to set off explosives. My only question is regarding the action on semi-autos — it isn’t going to cycle with blanks, is it?

I recall reading (I think in David Hackett Fischer’s “Paul Revere’s Ride”) about the estimated total weight of bullets fired on April 19, 1775 on the nearby Battle Road from Concord back to Boston. It was staggering...several tons. Of course, those were modestly-trained Minutemen, not modern highly-trained police.
“Police sirens awoke many Watertown, Mass. residents to find bullets lodged in walls, furniture ruined and holes in windows”
I'd like to see what that boat Terrorist #2 was in looks like after taking 200 rounds. One cop was hit, attributed to Terrorist #2.
I caught part of an interview with a husband/parent in that area and I don't know if it was the first firefight the night before this last shooting at the guy in the boat, or the shooting when the guy was in the boat, but this man showed a picture or calendar that was on the wall in his daughter's bedroom and a bullet had gone through that item. Naturally, he was distressed a bullet had come into his house in his young daughter's bedroom.
That shooting killing that one, sounded like a million gun shots. I have to wonder if cop's aim or just sort of shoot in the vicinity of the perp.
They were blanks. The HRT team fired many rounds of blanks to get the target to waste ammo firing back.
Seemed to work.
