Barack Obamas rage whether its real or playacting, Im undecided continues. Today Organizing for Actions Jon Carson sent an email to the groups vast mailing list. It begins with a lie, saying Yesterday, 45 senators chose to ignore their constituents and stand with the gun lobby.
Obama is allowing for no possibility that any of the senators who opposed the background check amendment were acting in accord with their constituents. None.
The email continues: And because of Senate rules, this minority was able to stand in the way of a bipartisan measure to expand background checks for gun sales.
That line is probably a set-up for one of two following moves. One, Democrats will push to jettison the Senate filibuster, aka the so-called nuclear option. Or two, Obama will implement some form of background check expansion via executive order and dare anyone to stop him. Or, of course, he may try both. He will certainly make gun control a centerpiece of the Democrats campaign to re-take the House in 2014, which the gun control lobby surely welcomes. If he could not get this legislation through four months after Newtown, it will not be a resonant issue nearly two years after the tragedy. Unless, that is, Obama has another tragedy to exploit between now and then.
From that set-up line, the email moves on to exploiting the families grieving their loss.
A lot of people are reading the headlines today and wondering how these senators had the nerve to get up there right in front of victims families from Newtown and cast that vote against something that more than 90 percent of Americans support. Im one of them, his email authors write.
Obamas own hand-picked Newtown father admits that the background check expansion would not have saved his son. A lot of people are wondering how the president could so callously use vulnerable people at the worst moment in their lives, to push his pet cause.
In the email, OFA vows that Yesterday was round one. We will keep fighting.
The question is, is that a threat, or a scream borne of impotent rage?
The Left’s agenda is clear. They’d completely disarm the public if there were nobody standing in their way. But people do stand in their way, so they embrace deceit and deception to advance their agenda.
There, fixed it.
If you're still wondering about ANYTHING this president does after 5 years, you've got your head up your ass.
I got that email. Here’s an excerpt:
“...but I trotted out the suffering Sandy Hook families and everything! Why didn’t the mean old Senate roll over?”
“Unless, that is, Obama has another tragedy to exploit between now and then.”
Even IF he has to manufacture one?

“I’m convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. We’re going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily given the political realities going to be very modest.
Of course, it’s true that politicians will then go home and say, ‘This is a great law. The problem is solved.’ And it’s also true that such statements will tend to defuse the gun-control issue for a time.
So then we’ll have to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen that law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we’d be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal total control of handguns in the United States is going to take time.
My estimate is from seven to ten years. The problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns sold in this country. The second problem is to get them all registered.
And the final problem is to make the possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors totally illegal.”

“Yes, I’m for an outright ban [on handguns].”

HCI, around 1984, came out in favor of a ban on semi-auto rifles and shotguns.
If he were capable of shame, he would have resigned by now.
Talk about trying to guilt the senate into usurping The Constitution. Sheesh.
Commies will never learn will they..even though they will try and try again to fulfill the same agenda that Hitler had..it will NEVER work..you will NEVER EVER EVER disarm us Commies..you can try over and over again and it will NEVER work so STFU
Rush reported that Sen. Ted Cruz stated that in 2012 there were 48,000 felons and fugitives that illegally applied to purchase a handgun. The Obama Justic Dept. prosecuted only 48 of them. Obama cries because yet another gun law isn’t passed but doesn’t enforce the ones on the books.
Did he add: “Just like I chose to ignore you when I crammed Obamacare down your throats”
Ted Cruz also needs to get his ass straight on this. Background checks and restrictions don’t stop anyone from getting a gun, that magical thinking belongs to the left.
Idiotic background checks belong to the left and should be eliminated.
Actually 45 Senators chose to vote WITH their constituents.
Not like the 55 who voted against their constituents wishes like they did to pass zerocare.
STFU BO
Me likey! Do you have a bumper sticker like this? I’d love to slap one on!
