Former congressman Allen West (R., Fla.) posted a message on Facebook Wednesday warning a group of students from Florida Atlantic University that if they continue to harass his wife you will face me.
The students from Florida Atlantic University who have gone to my wifes office, stalked her at the FAU Board of Trustee meetings, and sent letters to her company headquarters, end it now, West wrote in his message, posted at 11:21 a.m. This is not a threat, it is a promise that if Angela calls and tells me of one more incident, you will face me, the side of me that you do not want to see.
West, a former Army lieutenant colonel, retired from the U.S. Army in 2004 following a controversy over methods used during an interrogation of an Iraqi detainee.
West informed the students that he understood why he, a public figure, is the subject of smear tactics originated by the late Chicago activist Saul Alinsky.
However, he added, My wife Angela is an American citizen and if you believe that you can intimidate her to surrender her freedoms you are mistaken.
This is your one and only advisory notice, he said.
More than 9,000 people have liked Col. Wests post at this writing.
IIRC, if a protester swings at West, grabs him or otherwise initiates bodily contact, his fists legally become defensive weapons.
Bear in mind that as a Conservative, West would be considered guilty (at least in the enemedia if not the courts) until proven innocent.
It might be the macho thing to do and would be applauded by his fans, but would more likely than not be politically and strategically counter productive.
He probably has some Brothers in Arms with experience in making the darkness reach out and touch an enemy is special ways however. Some might even initiate corrective measures without even being asked to, should the need arise.
Sometimes if one goes messing with a man and his family, it might be prudent to consider not only who one is messing with... but who their friends are as well.
The Col., it seems, still has lots of friends - many of whom I would not want to get on the wrong side of.
OK, I dig what you’re saying, except.....
If the viral vids are of a black guy punching some pasty-faced attitude-challenged white geek, how does the MSM come charging in to denounce this heinous act?
Unless...”It’s ‘cause the white kid’s gay!!!”
