There is a HUGE difference between a soldier fighting to stop the spread of tyranny and a blood bespattered quack murdering innocent children.

I find the analogy highly insulting.

And Gosnell never suffered from any personal danger whatsoever. Surely, and his legions, suffered spiritual damage, but their souls were dead and lost long before they ever murdered their first baby.

Self defense can be quite brutal but you are correct in saying this is worse. This is a worship of death over the beginning of life.

Of course you do. Because you don’t think abortion is a necessary evil. But liberals do. Hell, many of them don’t think its evil at all. Just a minor medical procedure.

But what Gosnell has done - like Col. Jessup - was a bloody, gross, almost vulgar task that polite people don’t want to think about.

Lonesome, as the mother of a Marine Iraq veteran, I would agree with you if the comparison were between a good solider and a murderous abortionist, but this was not the case: you are mistaken on a point of fact. Daniel Greenfield didn't compare Gosnell to "a soldier fighting to stop the spread of tyranny." He compared him to two quite different figures, one fictional, and one historic, neither of them heroic.

The fictional one was Colonel Jessup from the movie "A Few Good Man," a liar, a man who suborned perjury, a bully, one who basically kills a helpless subordinate; and Lt. William Calley is a convicted American war criminal found guilty of murder for his role in the My Lai Massacre.

Which is to say: neither one was a "good solider." Both murdered the innocent, which is not what an American solider is trained to do. They were both a disgrace to the military profession, just as Gosnell is a disgrace to the medical profession.

The analogy is not as you may have thought at first glance..
