Big media outlets see and hear some evil yesterday at Gosnell infanticide trial (Graphic content)
Pundit & Pundette ^ | April 16, 2013 | JD Mullane

Kermit Gosnell entered a Philadelphia courtroom on Monday where he is on trial for the murder of seven unborn children. He looked at the seating reserved for media and saw something he hadn't last week. Media. The big guns.

The Bigs were shamed into appearing at the abortionist's trial after a stunning Twitter campaign that began Thursday night and swept through the weekend. A courtroom photo I snapped last week showing three rows of empty media seating, while grisly trial was in its fourth week, went viral.

The new media rattled the old media, and the old responded by sending correspondents, at least for a day or two. The New York Times and The Washington Post were there. So was the AP and Reuters.
I posted that photo here. Slate's Dave Weigel thinks the image of those empty benches was instrumental in filling them on Monday.

Mr. Mullane explores the racism aspect of Gosnell's alleged crimes against women and children:
Day Gardner, president of the National Black Pro-Life Union (Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a prominent member), said the issues of race and poverty have percolated through the Gosnell case, and have been largely untouched by the major media.

"I know that not everything is about race, but do you think that if what happened in Philadelphia happened to white girls, we'd have gavel to gavel coverage of this trial?" she asked me as we stood at the rear of the courtroom during a break.
All trial attendees got an earful and an eyeful of evil yesterday:
In testimony from the city Medical Examiner Sam Gulino, they heard about autopsies of 47 aborted unborn who were found at Kermit Gosnell's clinic. They heard about body parts stuffed into cat and dog food containers, of tiny crushed skulls, of liquified brain matter, of severed feet, of a partial arm.

When the prosecutor showed color photos of the dead unborn, bodies twisted, chopped, one solidly red with blood, there were audible gasps from the rear of the room. A hard and heartbreaking lesson.
Follow Mr. Mullane on Twitter here. Some of his tweets from yesterday:
Day Gardner of the Nat'l Black Pro-Life Union tells me #gosnell that Kermit Gosnell "is the Mengele of the black community in Philadelphia."

#gosnell Phila med examiner describes method he devised to thaw body parts of 47 unborn "so they wouldn't decompose quickly"

#gosnell Phila med examiner Sam Gulino testifies abort doc Gosnell kept baby arms, legs, feet in cat, dog food containers
That's why one of the charges against Gosnell is abuse of corpse.

One important correction here: Gosnell is not charged for the murder of seven unborn children. He is charged with the murder of seven newborn children, who were born subsequent to an abortion procedure. And one woman, murdered by pain drug overdose.

The Catholic media Relevant Radio and their print national and diocesan publications should be aggressively covering this. As I leave from mass their headlines should be shouting at me at the vestibule of my parish church.

“I know that not everything is about race, but do you think that if what happened in Philadelphia happened to white girls, we’d have gavel to gavel coverage of this trial?” she asked me as we stood at the rear of the courtroom during a break./

It’s not the murders of the babies that matter to this woman (although that is a part of it), it’s the color of the womans skin.

Perhaps she should ask herself what liberals, Jackson, Sharpton (both supposed reverends) and the NAACP have done for these poor black women.

Aye, and ask what those "reverends" have done and intend to do about the millions of dead black babies.

I don't now nor ever have subscribed to the anti-logical notion that "disparity is proof of discrimination;' that said™, why do so few people pause to contemplate the fact Planned Parenthood's founder was a eugenicist who sincerely believed blacks were an inferior race, and ought therefore to be encouraged and even forced to have fewer children?

Kermit Gosnell was just doing the racial cleansing that other Americans won’t do. Nothin’ to see here. Move along.

We’ve been told that making abortion illegal will lead to back alley butchery.

It appears that the Dems prefer their butchery more out in the open.

The liberals want the black people uneducated and on the plantation. They must continue to placate the death cult, and the deaths of millions of black babies means nothing to them. Who is going to educate the low information voters...the liberals..No. When conservatives attempt to tell them the truth we are intimidated and vilified.

The liberals will never free the black people. Power and votes are all that is important to them.

That which has been Seen, Cannot be Unseen.

This will have a lasting impact.

Whose fault is it that dead minority babies is not news? The media decides what is "news."
