The Tunnel People That Live Under The Streets Of America
ZeroHedge ^ | 4/12/13 | Michael Snyder

Did you know that there are thousands upon thousands of homeless people that are living underground beneath the streets of major U.S. cities? It is happening in Las Vegas, it is happening in New York City and it is even happening in Kansas City. As the economy crumbles, poverty in the United States is absolutely exploding and so is homelessness.

In addition to the thousands of "tunnel people" living under the streets of America, there are also thousands that are living in tent cities, there are tens of thousands that are living in their vehicles and there are more than a million public school children that do not have a home to go back to at night. The federal government tells us that the recession "is over" and that "things are getting better", and yet poverty and homelessness in this country continue to rise with no end in sight. So what in the world are things going to look like when the next economic crisis hits?

OBAMAVILLE

Gett’n a head fake,
watchin' msn’s take;
All of their pundits oozing foul oil.
Clean’n my six gun on my front porch swing.
Feeling my blood--
It’s beginnin' to boil.

Wasted away again in Obamaville,
Searchin' for a job so I can earn my salt.
Some people claim that Bush is to blame,
But I know it's Obama’s fault.

There’s no rhyme or reason,
They are all commitin’ treason
With nothing to show but a brand new tax or two.
But they are real beauties,
Despotic duties, how they got passed
I haven't a clue.

Wasted away again in Obamaville,
Searchin' for a job so I can earn my salt.
Some people claim that it’s Bush we should blame,
Now I think,-- hell with them it’s Obama’s fault.

Don’t worry, these poor souls will be front page news on the first day a republican takes office, if one ever does again.

The really, really sad and depressing thing about this is that nobama doesn’t give a flying rip about any of these people.

In fact, he needs more of this poverty and squalor, much more, to get the country where he wants it.

Watch what he does, not what he says.

Why not name these places for the ignorant, communist, self-aggrandizing a$$ clown who made them necessary? Start calling them “O-hole people”...

From the article it says that Barack and Marie Antoinette Obama are going to cost the taxpayers over $1 billion this year.

Guess we have to pay to keep His Majesty in Royal comfort and we also have to pay to keep his little princesses flying around the world in comfort.

You forgot the “hidden” lyric:

In mu-mus and flip flops
the cruise the 7-11 shops
buying thier scratch-offs with food stamps
dream about weight loss
say Moochelle is their new boss
more tattoos than most streetwalking tramps

“In the tunnels, their world is one of malt liquor, tight spaces, schizophrenic neighbors, hunger and spells of heat and cold.”

Just maybe the malt liquor is the problem if not the causation.

In truth, underground dwelling does not necessarily have to be bad. Especially in places with extreme weather, underground is far more temperate.

Of course other infrastructure is needed to make it comfortable. But in the future it is not impossible to imagine cities having “undergrounds” specifically built for the poor, that accommodates them far better than above ground dwellings.

The sad thing is that since many/most of these tunnel/tent people don't have a REAL address to give, they are thereby beyond MOST month-in-month-out govt assistance.

But then there are the many who manage to give an address somewhere...and I've seen two sources over the past 4 yrs that when they've tabulated up how much public assistance these chronic receivers DO get, it totals $70,000 per year [that includes them using the emergency room for any non-emergency-otherwise-normal medical care]...

That does NOT include any private help they receive from churches & non-profits who don't work closely with govt agencies...

So you have the truly poverty-of-poverty people here; and then you have others who receive more in benefits/$ than their lower-middle-class & even some middle-class counterparts receive.

Don’t be silly. Homeless people exist during republican administrations only.

If the MSM doesn’t report on them, they don’t exist.
