Might be a cool way to go. Why join the Scouts when you can join a secret cell. These cells will be invisible to the government, so they will be beyond their control. This is something Leftists can't stand; that anything is out of their control. And that will be a good thing in the long run.
How on earth can a group of school children be taxed? Just how and where do these kids earn wages that can be taxed?

I hope this isn’t true. It’s a great institution. My gramps was an Eagle Scout and rescued his parents from a burning building, went through the ROTC in college and finally stopped as a full doc and full army bull( colonel).

I have no problem with the creation of a non-profit private organization, THE GAY SCOUTS, which would have the identical rights, privileges and obligation as the 103 year-old Boy Scouts of America. Or any other rules it chooses to adopt, even paedophile Scout Leaders.
There is something inherently evil about any identifiable group targeting a generations-old group because they do not like or approve their rules as a private organization.
The gay-lesbian-bisexual-transexual pervert organizations are determined to obliterate the meaning and spirit of marriage, and their overconfidence allow them actually to believe that they have the power to deny the Constitutionally guaranteed right (of association) to any group they don't like.
If The Gay Scouts expect to obtain taxpayer funding from any government entity at any level, they can expect a monumental decades long court battle to prevent it.
Outnumbered 8 to 1 is a rather delusional expectation.
I will support the Boy Scouts of America, and their traditional standards, indefinitely, so long as they stand firm to the onslaught of the deviants, foreign or domestic.
Seriously, for those more familiar with legal issues, what power does the legislature have to meddle in limiting national Constitutional Guarantees?

I would love to see ads with a split screen, on one side a Boy Scout parade on the other side a gay pride parade, with the question; “Which would you rather see in your town? The Boy Scouts or the gay pride parade? California picked the gay pride parade.”

If the Feds want to pull away non profit status for not bending to their will - so be it. Non profit status is coercion. Pay the tax or find a way around it.
Same with churches. Give Caesar the damn money and keep your beliefs true.
I know it’s not that simple, I know it’s not “fair” but dang’ why let the Feds lead good Christian believing organizations around by the nose to save a few tax dollars?

I can hardly believe the Ernst and Young bigwig tried to foist NAMBLA predators on the Boy Scouts.
I was an assistant den leader in Austin and can't think of a better organization to teach young boys life skills. Not all had active fathers and we accommodated the boys on outings - in close quarters and sometimes in unaccompanied shared tents.
It makes me literally SICK to think of homosexual leaders becoming a part of Scouting! I made it clear to the national leadership that if they went down this road I'd pull my boy out, never volunteer again, and dissuade every family I know from participating.
Under this logic the next Caesar to take the throne can target pro-homosexual non-profits. This is where this stupidity leads.
We really need a rennaissance that takes us back to our Founding liberties. I mean Freedom of Association should be absolute with the exception of treason.
