Preparedness tips from someone who's been there and done that.

Exactly right. When the banks begin to go, the situation will nosedive. The exact same thing has happened with guns and ammo. Can’t get ANYTHING almost related to guns, not even good holsters.

5) Off Shore Banking. That might be a good way to get caught in a Cyprus-type event, even when your home country isn't.
3) Have Precious Metals.
Are we recommending a mix of brass, lead and copper?

I watched his YouTube video early this morning. Good stuff and got a kick out of Ferfal's art work. BTTT. He goes by
TheModernSurvivalist on YouTube. A very worthwhile subscription.
There is another channel worth the subscription. He goes by the name
Southerprepper1. There are a wealth of videos on his channel and he is moving into advanced defensive techniques now.

If you bought it before fall of 2008, you probably had a better investment than Gold.

The price of my rifle I brought in 2008 has more than doubled!

5) Off Shore Banking. Can't agree with that one; look how all those Russians got hosed in Cyprus! Besides, it'll be harder to get to the dirtbag politician who ordered the confiscation, for a little revenge!

I have my own list, doesn't look like that:
1.)buy precious metals in large quantities, mostly lead copper and brass.
2.)Have on hand plenty of long term storage food supplies.
3.)Own and practice with many types of firearms.
4.)Repeat as needed

I also bought some more precious metal today. It's the rods in the small greenhouse I picked up today. Now, have to put the precious metal rods together and will have a place to put precious seeds to grow.

Great idea. I have many packages of green onions that I got on sale last week. I read that after cutting off the edible part, I can plant the roots and get more green onions. I think it's warm enough here now to just plant in a planter or the ground, so I will try that tomorrow (after cutting and freezing what's left of the green onions).

A true story: A back doctor some years ago, said a certain injection he developed would help my lower back. So, I went for these injections and didn’t seemt to get better. So, doctor said maybe your level of testosterone (yes, women have that), is too low. He did a blood test and told me my testosterone level was at the high end for a woman. I left the office and told my husband the doctor said I had balls. Now, you can laugh.

Have done all but #5. I'm not sure about that one. I'm sure a Swiss bank account would be safer than what we've got here, but I'm sure the fees are high.
If anyone has any first-hand personal knowledge about off-shore banking, I'll be listening...

I bought this little greenhouse at Lowes for $40.00. It has rollers on it so I can roll it around. I don't have a lot of room in my garden as a deck takes up a lot of the room and this little greenhouse will sit nicely in a corner of that deck.
All but two of my roses bushes died in 2011. I have dead rose limbs with bad thorns all over that garden and across the back wall. Tried cutting them with a manual hedge trimmer and have to get too close to the bad thorns. Got the 24 inch machete to whack down those thorny dead limbs.
It will also do well to hack off zombie heads.

I don't think any of us would doubt you. Having a silhouette cutout on your bedroom door with nicely grouped shots in it and now a machete - you're more man than many XY chromosome types. In spite of the pink rifle!

It's a local joke here among Florida preppers, that the weapon Sarge wants is...
...a Klingon Bat'leth!
