A woman in Oregon was able to stop a violent attack by simply producing her legal handgun.
The woman was grabbed from behind by her pnytail and dragged down the street until she could grab her firearm and point it at the suspect, who then fled.
The suspect is described as white, in his late 20s, about 5-foot-8, with a slender build. He had medium-length hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a brown jacket and dark pants.

There’s another predator who will join the wimps in pushing for gun restrictions.
My first thought. I went to the original site and it's a TV station out of Portland - it figures.
Maybe innocents in the backdrop. Maybe he was around the corner before she could turn around and get a good sight. Or a thousand other things.
“Dont pull it if youre not going to use it.”
Thats just it, a lot of people own and carry but when its time to actually use it they freeze. Shooting someone is a lot more dificult than a lot of people realize.
You hear a lot of big talk form people i.e “I would have blow his brains out” and such, but actually pulling the trigger for real is something else all together.
Any other flavor, and race would have ostensibly been left out.
However, political affiliation wasn't offered. Wonder if the attacker is a Democrat?

See my post #25. GMTA. :-)
My thoughts exactly. The press constantly anthropomorphizes firearms as if they have a soul and could kill you just for yelling at them in an abrasive matter.
It's akin to saying, "She produced her legal lawnmower."
It's a damn tool.
So did she use an AK47 or a Glock? Every TV station knows those are the only guns anybody ever uses. She probably pulled an AK47. Fully automatic, of course.
Oregon ... I think I know why the perp was not shot. In Oregon the general knowledge is that just showing a gun will melt an attacker. Ammo doesn’t sell well in Oregon, apparently.
I don’t know the laws in liberal Oregon, but it might be illegal to shoot a fleeing suspect. There are still too many states that don’t have a “castle doctrine” or “stand your ground” law, and require you to escape first if you can.
Being liberal Oregon, the odds are good that if she shot him, she’d be in jail for murder.
“...Shooting someone is a lot more difficult than a lot of people realize.,,,,”
That it is. I had one of King Hussein’s sons approach me at a very busy gas station about a month ago at night while I was filling up telling me (not asking) that he was going to wash my windows and I was going to pay him $5 for it. I told him I wasn’t interested. He insisted. I told him, “Look, if you know what’s good for you, you will get just as far away from this little, old, pot-bellied man as you can possibly get and as quickly as you can.”. He said nothing and just left....and then came back with 2 of his buddies. They insisted that I was “in for some real, big-time trouble”. I said, “Really? For what?” And they said, “For talking to our friend like that. We ARE going to wash those windows and you WILL pay us $5.” At that point, the game was on. Within a second, they were looking down the barrel of a Colt .45 cal Combat Commander loaded with 8 rounds of Spear Gold Dot, cocked and the lock was just dropped. I had the big one in the middle lit up with the Crimson Trace laser. I said, “The first one of you low-life MFer’s that takes one more step towards me, all three of you bastards will never see daylight again.” They started backing up whining about not wanting any trouble while they were wetting and crapping their pants. The pump clicked off, I put the cap on, grabbed my receipt, put Colt back on “lock” and left. Would I have shot them? Yes. Damn right I would have double-tapped all three of em right where they stood leaving 2 rounds for anything left moving.....IF they came a step closer. Should I have shot them? Maybe, maybe not. It was a busy place with a lot of innocents there. I do know this: I’m too damn old to take an ass-whipping and too young to die. As our republic crumbles under the weight of communism, events like this will become more and more common.

But they were aspiring rappers and were going back to school. They got in with the wrong crowd.
“...But they were aspiring rappers and were going back to school.....”
They were fixing to be rapping for Satan in the school of Hell.
yup; and you are EXACTLY right!
“Had this happened to my daughter, the exchange would have probably gone like this:
Dont *bang!* touch the *bang!**bang!* fu@kin pony! *bang*! Got it?! *bang*!
LOLOLOL...O-M-G.....oh God...my cheeks hurt from laughing. THAT was funny.
Frankly....I don give a crap whether her gun was legal or not.
