"Customs and Border Protection has been given enough money to fully staff the border but has chosen to use the money elsewhere, we believe it is to fund the salaries of Supervisory CBP Officers. The money they are diverting was to go to AUO (Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime) which is actually straight pay and is used to pay Border Patrol Agents for anything past eight hours. Being that we have to maintain staffing 24/7 this is a huge part of border security. The criminals and drugs don't stop coming so we have to make sure we have people out there. Cutting AUO will be a 30% pay cut for our agents but more importantly a minimum 20% loss of staffing out in the field," Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council Shawn Moran tells Townhall. "It is internal politics within CBP and also with immigration reform. There are still battles between legacy Customs, INS, and Border Patrol managers as to the direction CBP takes and how the funds are being used. Meanwhile both parties claim no immigration reform until the border is secured, well this surely will not secure the border."

I’m currently training in a medical field. We see 100’s of recently crossed illegals every single day. They are signed up on the roles, and they even have “special” people in our government who escort them to our clinics so they can receive care ...translators and all.
Aren’t you glad that YOUR tax dollars are being used to pay for this?
This is nothing but an invasion, planned and executed by our government. It’s happening now, as I type this ...and we do nothing.
And Marco Rubio is making noises about down-the-road potential citizenship for these illegals in order to pander to his brothers for votes for GOPe. He prefaces this appeasement and abandoment of ideals with the old “strengthen our borders first” canard.
It is disingenuous at the least, traitorous at its worst, a least to conservatism and a traditional sovereign America.
He will NEVER get a vote from me.

The GOP is rapidly becoming as great an enemy of the American people as the Obama Democrats.
If Rubio and rest of the GOP treason lobby passes “comprehensive immigration reform” I’ll have cast my last vote ever for a Republican.
No, it is the absolute number of incentives given by the Liberal/Progressives in hopes of their votes.
Think of it. Instead of paying taxes, they get Earned Income Credits. For every cousin in Mexico, they can get money to send back from our Government (Like 4 Billion Dollars and more daily). They get free health care (Obamacare) and their babies get free citizenship and they get amnesty without having to wait in line.
And for all these freebies, they will gladly place their illegal votes for Democratic Progressives.
Immigration reform is a doomed concept. Desperately poor people will always find a way to migrate to area or countries that promise to improve their lot. The US economic slowdown is the main reason illegal immigration lessens, not more laws. No Western country has the disposition to really enforce its sovereignty.
Not to mention the *help* they get before they even freely come across the border. Pamphlets, maps...complete instructions on how to best get here, who to see to sign up for the freebies and help with completing the necessary paperwork. Disgusting.
It is not lack of ability to enforce our borders, it's total lack of will!
Our elected congressional reps and President will NOT protect our borders, then they are telling us we need "immigration reform."
The first job of our government, each elected person swears to "protect America from all enemies (invaders) foreign and domestic," and this is what they u>absolutely refuse to do, no matter what we do or say.
It is now time to impeach the lot of them, starting with the ones who are out in front, so-called "gang of......" you name it, demanding America give our country to Mexico and every other country that sends us it's unemployed hoard!
That these guys are out in front demanding the Republican Party claim the banner of Amnesty, will not get it done. The truth is, they do not own the Republican Party, the last time I noticed.
They are like some libs demanding the Boy Scouts permit gay leaders, when no one actually in Scouting wants it at all but they are loud and have the microphone.

If you don"t believe, look back at 2007 when we had a congress set to make it happen and a President ready and willing to hand over the keys of the country to anyone who wanted to drop in and rape us.
