I am in a hotel room in Boston. My team, Conservative Campaign Committee, is here filming a TV ad to help conservative candidate Michael Sullivan in Massachusetts.
I just returned from dinner. Checking my email and listening to a recap of the Rush Limbaugh radio show, I find myself fighting a deep sadness for my country. At every turn, it appears the Left is winning the battle for our culture, moving toward the end of America as we know it.
Consideration of God in cultural matters is deemed ignorant laughable. Morality is now called intolerance. Remarkably, our kids are taught in elementary school that no sex is wrong and only sex which leads to pregnancy is unsafe. Sex Ed includes teaching kids to masturbate with mirrors to introduce them to sexuality. Government funded sexual indoctrination that no sex is wrong begins in kindergarten. http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/common-sense/2013/mar/26/hooking-kids-sex-start-saturation-process-kinderga/
Far too many Christian churches have lost their salt and simply go along to get along, all in the name of love. Desperate and fearful after losing the election, too many Republicans are willing to sacrifice core values and principles in hope of winning votes.
Cultural and moral decline are running rampant. Where is the push back? Some say forget the culture and focus on economic issues only. The economy and the culture are linked.
My heart is heavy, but what can I do? Do I give up? God forbid.
The reality is the efforts of my team and all who love America are needed more than ever. Rather than allowing hopelessness to triumph, my resolve is strengthened to fight with every fiber of my being to restore my country by putting conservatives in office and saying no loudly to every vile left wing attack on our culture.
Folks, I love America. I really, really do.

Thank you.
You inspire so many of the rest of us to keep trying.
Bless You
I’m with you Lloyd. It seems regardless of how much effort we put into elections, even IF the ones we support win, they turn coat on us.
I just don’t know.
I was talking with a friend about this very subject. It just seems so bleak, and we know of so many caring wonderful Americans who ARE concerned deeply and are feeling helpless even though they may be fighting huge battles in the areas they can reach.
The image of a chemistry experiment occurred to me during the conversation which I found to be very comforting. It was of the titration experiments our chem teacher showed us in high school.
There was a large clear container of water. The teacher had a tiny bottle and told us he would change the color of the water. He dripped and dripped and dripped single drops into the container. It was endless.
Finally, ONE drop went in and the WHOLE CONTAINER CHANGED COLOR! Even though we had been told what to expect, it was still awesome to witness.
People of faith have been admonished that things will change “in the twinkling of any eye,” and it really doesn’t seem possible. But it is.
Each of us who loves freedom and righteouness is pouring into the vat of the world society as many drops of goodness that we are able to muster. I truly believe that we are in a huge “dropper” war, if I may continue the analogy. While it appears we are surrounded by unchanging fluid, the truth is, it is changing at an imperceptible rate known only to the Lord, and at some point, according to His timing, there will be the “twinkling of an eye.”
We are admonished to never fear. The Lord’s chastening was never meant for His children. However, I think it was Joshua who did urge us to get out of the way for when the miscreation topples. (”Come apart and be a separate and chosen people.”)
Be of good cheer and have HOPE.
Thank you for sharing your ponderings and concerns with us, Lloyd Marcus. Have a very blessed Easter.
Amen. I am heartsick, too...and feel defeated so many times...but I am not giving up. There’s no way I can. Till my last day on Earth I will fight.
It’s always darkest before the dawn.
Things will get worse before they get better, but they will get better.
What a beautiful statement of faith. Happy Easter to you and yours.
The main problem, as I see it, is the indoctrination that is occurring in our public schools. Just read an article about a Portland high-school math teacher--last name of Diss--who though well-respected as an excellent teacher, was nonetheless arrested, marched out of his school and then FIRED because of his active opposition to Planned Parenthood and their efforts to push their agenda in his classroom.
Do not know what to do about this, but really believe I have to do SOMETHING. Because we have reached a point where it is time to say, (borrowing a line from "Fiddler on the Roof")--THERE IS NO OTHER HAND!
And as regards Dr. Carson, he is to me--as you are-- a very bright "light" shining in the darkness, and the fact that he is being so vehemently attacked is proof that "the powers of this dark world" and "the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" want to snuff him out--or at least shut him up!
But, of course, this is an ancient battle--so we just have to remember Paul's Comforting words: "...be strong in the Lord, and in HIS mighty power."
God bless you, Lloyd, for all you do. And, also--Happy Easter!
"He is risen. He is risen indeed! Hallelujah!"
Take comfort in the prayers being offered up for our Nation and your efforts, please. Am praying too.
Lets fight back... and I do have a ticket: Dr. Carson/Alan West.
Glory to God for all good things! And thank you for the Easter greetings. More of the same back to you!
It is a real challenge for all of us not to feel overwhelmed by the sheer evil that is being (imho) purged by the Light of God and His Christ in these days. I think Holy Spirit gave me a gift in that moment with that visualization. I’m so grateful that you are finding it helpful as well!
The Gates of Hell shall NOT prevail against Christ’s true Church.
Blessings
I have to fight the urge to quit, but every time I think I should, I remember that darker times have happened and we have come out of them.
It's far from over. We commemorate the winning of the war tomorrow. We won, so just make sure to keep that in mind while you go forward and don't let the enemy tell you otherwise.
Onward and upward.
