It's protection money -- the rackets. More "zakat" for jihad and the spread of Islamic imperialism.
Halal Easter eggs and cat food: where big money meets religion SMH.com (Hat tip Danita)
Cadbury will sell a mountain of chocolates this Easter, as it does every Easter. It has been careful to make sure that its products are certified as halal, even though it is not necessary. Hundreds of companies in Australia do the same. Halal certification has become a big business.
The essence of halal is that any food is forbidden to Muslims if it includes blood, pork, Cabury halalalcohol, the flesh of carnivores or carrion, or comes from an animal which has not been slaughtered in the correct manner, which includes having its throat slit. Food labelled as halal invariably involves the payment of a fee. It does not extend to chocolate but Cadbury lists 71 products which are halal, ranging from Dairy Milk to Freddo frogs to Red Tulip chocolates. The website also states: ''We do not have any kosher-certified products.''

Cadbury needs some bacon flavored Easter Eggs...
Are these the evil people that started the tradition of lopping off the heads of the Chocolate Easter Bunny?
Hey Cads > if they tell ya to baaaaaa like a goat while you're gettin' muzzf**ked, will ya do that too ?
Gutless Pukes
I didn’t realize muslims celebrated the resurrection of Jesus.
I do not like halal eggs and ham.
An untapped market.
Where can I find Halal matzoh?
Because Muslims celebrate Easter?
Why does Cadbury care what followers of the death cult of Islam want? Besides, they don’t celebrate Easter.
I normally don't check the brands, but certainly will this year.
Even if they were 'halal' all along. Just catering to the sandmaggots p****s me off.
And halal meat also means that the animal is ritually offered to the god of Islam as it is slaughtered. Christians should recall that the Apostle Paul warned against eating meat offered to idols in 1st Corinthians chapter 8.
Haha. Muslim Easter. Haaaa
Nothing says Easter like Halal. :-)
I moved to Pearland, Texas, a suburb of Houston, back in the late 90’s for a while. Just a rather wide spot in the road compared to now. My son and his family were coming for Christmas Eve dinner and I wanted to fix him matzoh ball soup which was one of his favorite things to eat.
So I put the chicken in the pot to cook for broth and went off to our one local grocery store, searched all the shelves but couldn’t find any matzoh meal. So here came the store manager to help me - cowboy boots, plaid shirt, polyester boot cut jeans with his pockets stuffed with keys, change and who knows what all. Said he knew they had a lot at one time but must have had a real “run on it being it was the Holy days and all”.
I do know that you can now find matzoh in all the stores in Pearland now. Halal? Not on your life and I hope never in mine.

Where is PETA to speak on halal ritual?
