Do you want to keep drones out of your backyard?
An Oregon company says that it has developed and will soon start selling technology that disables unmanned aircraft.
The company, called Domestic Drone Countermeasures, was founded in late February because some of its engineers see unmanned aerial vehicleswhich are already being flown by law enforcement in some areas and could see wider commercial integration into American airspace by 2015as unwanted eyes in the sky.
"I was personally concerned and I think there's a lot of other people worried about this," says Timothy Faucett, a lead engineer on the project. "We've already had many inquiries, a lot of people saying 'Hey, I don't want these drones looking at me.'"
Domestic Drones Countermeasures was formed as a spin-off company from Aplus Mobile, which sells rugged computer processors to defense contractorsthough the company won't discuss its specific technology because it is still applying for several patents. Faucett says that work has helped inform its anti-drone technology....

Thanks for the info but i just bought myself FIVE Sweet surface-to-air SAM 7 missiles from Al-Qaeda pretty cheap on e-bay.

“Watch this administration put the kabosh on this, rickety-tick.”
There goes my backyard SAM site business. I had the 800 number and everything. I called it SAM WOW.
A 12-guage can provide a bit of drone defense.
Sorry, not buying it. The only things which can do this are Skittle juice and unicorn farts, and those are tightly controlled by the DNC because they are the only things keeping Obama from crashing.
EMPs on helium balloons.
If they’re interfering with signals, they’ll be shut down quickly and mercilessly. Jamming is also relatively easy to detect (with the right equipment of course) so even if some customer orders got out, they’d be identified and confiscated if ever used.
And with frequency hopping and spread spectrum signals it isn't nearly as effective as it used to be.
Skittle juice? If u is referrin’ to Trayvon, dat’s racist! LOL

If it is using RF, the FCC would shut it down as non type accepted and no license.
As for myself, drones over my Cebu beach are highly unlikely.
In the US, however, I would be quite miffed if one was zooming around over my property.
Probably a ‘spark gap transmitter’ or some such.. There’s numerous articles on the web regarding jamming UAV’s.
That got a ring to it...
You found it, I was wondering what happened to US News and World Report..
So it is non-destructive to the drone, not radio jamming, doesn’t affect the navigation system, but it will keep the drone from completing its mission.
Why would you not want to destroy the drone? If the Constitution guarantees the right to abortion based on our right to privacy, that same right to privacy surely precludes being spied on by anyone with a few dollars to buy a drone.
Knock on the door in 3,2,1...........
Laser used to defeat drone optics?
