During the Senate Judiciary Committee debate on gun legislation Thursday, Senator Leahy cut off Senator Cruz and angrily scolded the young senator for "lecturing" him on how to be a Senator.

Passing laws without considering their Constitutionality and depending on the SCOTUS to decide that for each of them is an abdication of their congressional responsibility and flies in the face of their oath of office. They are shirking their duties when they do that. Sen. Cruz is rightly pointing that out.
