Hannity has been pushing Marco Rubio as NBC from day one, too, even though he is the equivalent of an “anchor baby” (birth on US soil but no US citizen parent). I think that Ailes and Rove are willing to make a deal with the devil if it will get them a win. Jindal, another anchor baby, was their first pick, but he bombed in his SOTU rebuttal, of course.

So far, the entire law school faculties and federal judiciary of the US appear to be willing to do a “jury nullification” on the NBC clause of the constitution as previously articulated by SCOTUS in the MvH case.

SCOTUS is “evading” the NBC issue, as Justice Thomas correctly stated.

I expect the big money to back Jeb Bush in 2016, so any NBC issues for Cruz and Rubio or others (Haley) will be put off until at least 2020 or later.

The Supreme Court of the United States has never applied the term “natural born citizen” to any other category than “those born in the country of parents who are citizens thereof”.

That's nice but the USSC has sworn in Obama uncritically twice.

If we fail to throw Obama out on the basis of all those court cases, his Presidency will set the new precedent in practice. Again, the USSC swore him in twice.

It will then become the standard Constitutional interpretation that NBC = born to at least one full US citizen.

It will do us no good to restrict ourselves and our selections when the USSC will have already set precedence for that standard with Obama and a de facto definition of what NBC may include.

Let's run Cruz/Rubio if they're up to the task.

The libs will regret the precedent they allowed go be set with Obama.

I wouldn’t mind having a beer with him but I can’t stand to listen to his relentlessly boring and repetitive mantra. I can’t believe he brings enough revenue to Fox News Channel that they couldn’t pull his show and put something in that primetime slot that would actually bring new viewers to the channel. A program conducted by someone with an actual working brain, for example. FNC gets a lot of heat for being “right wing” when O’Reilly certainly doesn’t put fort a conservative ideology and neither does Greta. Hannity is bringing them a lot of grief for very little gain - I am a conservative but I sure as hell won’t watch his show, so how many liberals or indies do?

I would like Cruz to run for President even if he just proves to be a lighting rod.
Why? A lightning rod like him can help build a more conservative platform for the party to run by putting forth popular ideas by an ability to communicate
Giving people something to vote FOR.

Or lead to another actual viable Conservative party.

Why does anyone still bother to listen to Hannity

I quit watching him, but the local radio station has him and the other switched to a couple of lib Jon Stewart wannabes, so I have been listening to him.

Or was listening to him until I heard him today...and realized he is a sign of the times and this is our post-Constitutional age.

Unless enough people say differently, and quite likely even if we do, the Constitution has been lost and the Republic is dead.

It will take several small revolutions, starting with education, or some form of a second civil or hot third world war in order for the Constitution and the freedom and liberty it guarantees to be restored.

Until then, watch out at the coffee shop. The forecast is calling for Hellfire rain on conservatives here in the obamanation.

The USA does not recognize dual-citizenship but Winston Churchill could have been an American citizen if he chose to do so. His mother was born in the good ol’ US of A.

Sean Hannity is a serial sellout. He certainly is no constitutional scholar. Personally I think he wants Rubio in 2016 who is arguably not eligible so he’s looking to make Cruz elibible also. I love Ted Cruz but I don’t think either he or Rubio are technically eligible but if they let Rubio run they better let Cruz run.

Right now Rand Paul is the man as far as I’m concerned and he is definitely NBC.
