It is time for Americans to start thinking seriously about the possibility that their sons and daughters may be put in the untenable position going house-to-house, confiscating firearms and ammunition from their friends and family? What will they do?

The military would do what they’re told by those who pay them; there is no reason to think otherwise. The war in Iraq showed how analytical our military is.

The DHS is led by a real tyrant. However, I would bet that there are many in DHS ranks that don’t agree with want is going on. We need to be having conversations with veterans, military, carefully feeling out DHS people, local police, sheriffs etc.
I don’t think he’s going to ask the military. I think he’s going to lock the military down, and use DHS and Federal LEOs to do the dirty work, backed up by 2500 MRAPs.
Discussion: As important as range time is do we all want to expend what ammo we have, even range dedicated ammo for target shooting at a time we cannot replace the ammo due availability?

As a veteran I monitor a lot of service related blogs and social media in relation to opinions and current activity of active duty guys. If the unthinkable were to happen I’m completely convinced the hard core “boots on the ground” types will do what’s right. And I’m talking about the 11B’s, Marines and Special Forces types, not the POG’s sitting behind desks and filing out paperwork. The hardcore guys that are literally on the line know a lawful order from an unlawful order and they are VERY vocal about this issue. They DO keep up with current events. In one recent posting I’ve seen they were discussing the easiest way to take out those military grade vehicles that DHS just purchased. I’m not worried about our brothers in arms. they would be one of our best assets along with us veterans.

That's a far more likely scenario than the military going door to door to seize guns. Most military people are right-wingers. How in the world is Obama going to get these patriots to confiscate guns from other patriotic Americans? I think we'd see a coup first, and Obama knows it. We'll never see an order like that.

The military is trained from the git-go to obey orders. That is what they will do.
A few may balk, but they will quickly be dealt with.
Or they will arm the ghettos to the extent that they need any more arms and set them off to create the anarchy and societal collapse they need to totally remake the country. With enough chaos, they can start using area weapons and just eliminate whole sectors whenever they want.
