Trig Truther Andrew Sullivan: Pope Benedict Secretly Gay

Andrew Sullivan, the author who still harbors serious doubts about the veracity of Sarah Palin's ultimate pregnancy, has determined that outgoing Pope Benedict is gay.

In a post titled "Two Popes, One Secretary," Sullivan writes that since Benedict will live in the Vatican with Archbishop Georg Gaenswein, his trusted secretary, he must be gay.

"So Benedict's handsome male companion will continue to live with him, while working for the other Pope during the day," Sullivan wrote. "Are we supposed to think that's, well, a normal arrangement?"(continued)

Does anyone know if Sullivan has expressed his opinion about Obama and his “friend” Reggie Love? I would bet he hasn’t and will not.

Oh, good grief. Sullivan has to come up with ludicrous headlines in order to try to stay on the front pages. Otherwise, he'd be ignored.

I guess Andrew doesn't think that men can be 'just friends' with men, without there being some sexual activity between them. How sad.

It does seem weird though that he’d remain Benedict’s main helper/aide and also work for the new Pope. The whole arrangement is odd and unusual because usually there is no retired ex-pope living, to even possibly work for.

Why would it be weird? Father Ganswein has been the Pope's Personal Secretary, and companion for years. Why should Josef Ratzinger have to get used to someone else entirely, in his old age. Wouldn't it be easier on him to have someone familiar to him, helping him in his daily activities, and just being a friend and companion?

Sullivan and his ilk are so narcissistic they can't imagine people of the same sex simply being friends and companions, without there being any sex involved.

The archbishop is nice to look at. But in a totally hetero way.
