All accounts of his early life suggest he was the adopted son of Lolo Soetero with his name legally changed at time of adoption (including new birth cerificate created and filed in Hawaii)

I have adopted twice and each time the child received a new birth certificate naming the new parents and new name

Story goes his mother surrendered his American citizenship to claim Indonesian citizenship because she hated the US anyawy and only Indonesian citizens could attend the school his Indonesian military stepfather chose for him (school open to kids of high rollers

He had to take legal action at age 18 to reclaim his US citizenship- if indeed he ever qualified for it - and to legally change his name to “Barack Hussein Obama”

If he did neither of the above then he committed no fraud claiming to be Indonesian or going by the name “Barack Soetero”

The fraud is now on US for electing him as POTUS
(Maybe wonder why Chief Justice Roberts choked on inauguration #1, swore him in twice each time, once each time in secret, maybe using his true legal name and/or aliases?)

Although, again,I'm not a lawyer I've done some research on the subject of nationality,in general, and US citizenship,in particular. My understanding is that thanks to at least several SCOTUS rulings, some dating back to the 50’s (and earlier),it is *very* difficult for a person to lose his/her US citizenship. For example it's been ruled that when one makes a formal declaration that he/she has renounced their US citizenship that, alone, does not cause you to lose it.Also, part of the US citizenship oath includes a formal renunciation of all foreign citizenships but the Federal courts have ruled that such people *can* keep, and exercise rights connected to,such a citizenship.I'm not explaining it well but,as I said, the SCOTUS has basically ruled that US citizenship is a Constitutional “right” and,as such,it's nearly impossible to lose it....apart,perhaps,from an adult citizen making a formal declaration at a US Embassy/Consulate before a government official.

Sorry silverleaf, but that scenario just doesn’t work. There is not, and never has been, ANY mechanism under which a parent can renounce the citizenship of their child. Renunciation law is fairly clear, and there are a number of steps that have to occur before it’s legal. One of them is an interview with embassy staff verifying that the person doing the renunciation is a mentally sound adult who understands the implications of the choice and who is making the decision of their own free will. A child cannot renounce his citizenship, and a parent cannot renounce it for the child.

Even in the rare case of an American child adopted by foreign parents, where the birth certificate is updated to reflect the foreign parents, U.S. citizenship is maintained. Legally, citizenship can ONLY be removed by the order of a court with the authority to do so, or by self-renunciation. It can’t be lost through the adoption process.

If Obummer isn’t a citizen, then the fraud surrounds his place of birth, and not the circumstances of his life that came later

If he was adopted in Indonesia then how would that result in a change of U.S. birth certificate? If he was adopted in the U.S. then how would that result in Indonesian citizenship?

Well, that at the time an Indonesian citizen in Indonesia could not marry anyone who was not an Indonesian citizen, necessitating her surrendering her U.S. citizenship to legally marry him in Indonesia. Even now the United States recognizes that a child's citizenship follows that of the custodial parent as when a newly naturalized U.S. citizen confers citizenship on his minor children in his custody. Also in Indonesia at the time of his adoption, one could not adopt someone who was not an Indonesian citizen.

I think she surrendered his US citizenship so he could become an Indonesian, too.

We are so screwed by global elitists. They own us Americans now like we are nomadic peasants in turd world desert nations. Same with Euro-peons.

The brain washing (political correctness self hate/death culture re-education campaign) has been amazingly successful. We deserve everything we get for being so dang stupid - weak approval sucks.

I think the foreign aid can be the “smoking gun”. The info is out there. If he received aid as a foreign student then there’s no way, as far as I can see, that he can get out of it.

He either lied to get school paid for, or he was not a US citizen. As far as I can see, that’s the only two options
