Get out of here.
That was one Wyoming state representatives message to a resident who contacted him recently stating her opposition to a bill that would have allowed people with concealed carry permits to carry guns in public schools, colleges and sporting events.

From her bio: "There is something inescapable about coming from the South, a way it weaves itself into your very blood."
Is there a tinge of guilt, if not self-hatred here? That explains quite a bit. Hey, I was born in daBronx, I don't hold that against myself ;)

The author of a recent piece said in response to this story that it is amazing how much energy people will burn up in opposition to the values of where they live, finally move on, and spend even more energy trying to convert the new home into the one they just left. Just goes to show that job or no, Americans have entirely too much time on their hands.

This woman is the total package; she once was a 3d degree Wiccan priestest, and a fundamentalist atheist, and is now a reverend in the Unitarian Universalist religion (where reputedly they pray to whom it may concern). Seriously, she would feel right at home in The People's Socialist Republik of Vermont. She moved to Wyoming, so I assume she likes ice and snow...
Kind of sad to learn that there are Unitarian Universalist "churches" in a good Red State like Wyoming...

Great action from an elected representative who surfed into a state office on the Tea Party wave of 2010.
Same old story, liberals moving into a state with conservative values and then try to change it into where they came from.
Good for you State Rep. Hans Hunt (R-Wyoming)!
I had just opened this thread, and then checked my pings, nutmeg, and saw you pinged me to this.
Thanks!

She won’t like any of the western states (between the Rockies and the Sierras) because the residents all love their firearms, and believe they are meant for protection. You can’t cure stupid, and that gal is a prime example.

I used to attend a UCC Church. Once I realized how far left the “home office” was and basically dictated to the local congregations what they should support I left. They have lost something like half of their membership.
