This week I gasped in horror when I learned that Obama care had ordered Medicare to cut reimbursement for 4 million diabetic seniors by 66%. It also reduced all the companies that were supplying blood sugar monitoring supplies from 1000 to 15. I also learned via the research of Elizabeth Vliet M.D. that one of her 80 year old patients was told he was not covered anymore by Medicare when he went to the pharmacy so couldnt get his medication. His choice was to pay cash or die.
Pause for a second and snap out of being mildly annoyed and grow a backbone and a few fangs over this. Just with Diabetic and Heart patients alone you are talking many millions of people, mostly seniors with coverage simply cut off or largely cut back setting them up to die. That is unless they are millionaires and can afford expensive medication out of pocket. This is called as in the days of Nazi Germany, targeting a group of people for extermination and murdering them.
Millions will suffer and many will die just representing the pull back of coverage with Diabetic and Heart disease patients. Think about all the other diseases and seniors represented with dramatic or total cut backs by Medicare. Just as in Britains socialized medicine now, state-of-the-art drugs will be denied for all kinds of common cancer, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and others.
Obama care is nothing more than a padded door to the ovens for the most needy and for our seniors...

All true and republicans so absurd they allow old people to think democrats care for them.
I don't disagree.
I'm in my 30s and have been taking thyroid medication for years for hypothyroidism. While my medication is not on the immediate list of "uninsured," as time goes on, it might. Or there might be shortages of it.
If I go without my medication for a month, my thyroid essentially stops functioning which eventually leads to coma and death. Yeah, I'm freaking thrilled for this garbage coming down the pipe.
Like Al Jolson used to say.
YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET.
Pretty soon the idiots who ove Obama will start getting bit by this Obamacare thing. The squealing will be loud and long as Grandma starts dying.
At my last doctor’s visit I was told my next H1C test would be scheduled at six months rather than the three month rotation I have been following for years.
I’m 67, and yes, I believe it is a form of rationing already in place.
When United raised the co-pay for my oral medication last year my doctor quickly switched me to a medication I can purchase for $10 for a three month supply. Currently all of my medications cost a total of $22 per month. That includes two diabetes meds, two blood pressure meds, and simvastatin. All of my doctors are willing to do everything they can to find me the least expensive, yet effective drug, we have to do our part and let them know what we need. They aren’t mind readers.
The plan is to have the seasoned citizens die before they can collect all the medicare and social security benefits and therefore balance the budget.
See it all works out, just pay all your money and die.
The House must start impeachment! Now!!!!! On the basis that this pric! is a communists.
The only thing that I have to point out here is that 104 is a normal blood glucose reading, not high. Certainly not pre-diabetic.
Why is there no one SCREAMING this from the rooftops? Will you wait to act only when YOU are affected? By then, it will be too late.
Sarah Palin was right all along with her description of death panels.
My husband (75) is on a medication that is supposed to be covered by his Medicare Advantage Plan — up to a certain $$$ annually. They have refused to reset the plan after the change to 2013. He’s off the meds until they get it straightened out because it changes the cost of the med from about $40 per mo. to $100 per mo.
He’s made 3 calls to the insurance company, and the pharmacy has made one. Every call the insurance company says they will fix it, and every time he goes to the pharmacy, it’s not fixed.
This is just one of the reasons Obama and his running dog lackeys want to disarm the elderly.
I’m a diabetic who can’t get it under control. I might try her tea the next time I have a few extra dollars.
Well yes, old people will die. But since they are dead, they either won’t vote, or they will vote democrat, so the liberals don’t really have to be concerned about that.
Have you tried Bernstein?
The book is huge, but packed full of information about T-1 and T-2.
I am pretty sure Obamacare will cut the average lifespan for Americans.
This morning before I even saw this I started searching the web to try to find alternative therapies for diabetes, so as to be prepared when the SHTF economically. Not sure how to know who really knows what they’re talking about but with doctors being spies for Big Brother, and with Big Brother working to collapse the economy while preparing and arming the government to fire on Americans (and have the coffins to bury them in afterwards).... I think diabetics are going to have to start weaning themselves off of medicines as best they can, in order to survive when the SHTF.
My endocrinologist was a Christian from Syria. He decided to go back to be with his family in December, right before Obamacare was supposed to hit. Several years ago he encouraged me to not worry so much about America because it’s all “just politics”. I wonder if he would say the same thing to me today if we saw each other again.
We have reached the logical endpoint of government-controlled healthcare. Barry Goldwater said in 1964: “Having given our pensioners their medical care in kind, why not food baskets, why not public housing accommodations, why not vacation resorts, why not a ration of cigarettes for those who smoke and of beer for those who drink.
Good thing we didn’t, or we’d be rationing food, housing, vacations, cigarettes, and beer.
Not surprised by this. In order to finance Obamacare the authors of Obamacare tapped into Medicare to pay for the new healthcare law. Due to Obamacare Medicare will be cut by $45 billion, on average, every year for the next decade.
Here’s how DC Plans to Fund ObamaCare (2010-2019):
Spending Cuts:
Medicare Payment Rate Cuts $196 billion
Medicare Advantage Cuts $136 billion
Other Medicare/Medicaid Cuts $123 billion
New Taxes and Fees
Hospital Insurance/Unearned Income Tax $210 billion
Fees on Insurers & Drug Companies $107 billion
Individual & Employer Penalty $ 65 billion
Excise tax on “Cadillac” Plans $ 32 billion
All Other Revenue Sources
Other Revenue Provisions $108 billion
Reinsurance & Risk Adjustment $106 billion
Community Assisted Living $ 70 billion
Posiotive Effects on Revenue $ 46 billion
Education Cuts $ 19 billion
Also the article does not state if the 80 yr old falls into the Medicare Gap coverage aka “donut Hole”. Prior to Obamacare the drug coverage would be:
Drug Spending before ObamaCare:
$0 to $2,800 you pay 25% Medicare pays 75%
$2,800 to $6,400 “Donut hole” you pay 100%
Above $6,400 you pay 5% Meidcare pays 95%
With ObamaCare:
2010 yr. you pay 100% but get $250 rebate
2011 yr. you pay 50%
Drug discounted the 50% remaining
2013 yr. you pay 50% remainder discounted 50%
phase in-begins in 2013
2020 yr. you pay 25%
drug discounted 50%
government subsidy 25%

More details are needed about the “80 yr. old” mentioned in this op-ed to understand what happened. Government regulations with Obamacare added on top are mind boggling and out of control.
Before “buying” into this article’s “death machine” shock title, I recommend that anyone concerned with how Obamacare will effect them and their families buy the book:
ObamaCare Survival Guide by Nick Tate
It is a just the facts, no politics book, that lays out, in plain english with simple charts, an easy to read road map of what to expect and how to navigate ObamaCare.
