A news article was sent to me earlier this week. It appeared in the Beaufort Gazette. The article stated that later this week about 150 Marines and Navy personnel will hold realistic urban training in Jasper County, South Carolina.
This was one of many joint military-local law enforcement exercises that had come to my attention in less than one month. Held in cities across the U.S., they were becoming more common and more intense. But why? Why train in populated towns and cities where accidents could produce unnecessary casualties?
The Gazette further reported that the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit will train within Ridgeland town limits. The times and exact locations for the training are not being announced, according to 2nd Lt. Gerard R. Farao.
A little background on the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (26th MEU). It is one of seven Marine Expeditionary Units. A MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force with a strength of about 2,200 personnel. The MEU consists of four major parts: a command element, a ground combat element, an aviation combat element, and a logistics element. The 26th MEU was establishment in the early 1970s and has deployed extensively, and participated in numerous combat and contingency operations. The 26th MEU is based out of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
I was once stationed at Camp Lejuene, NC. As a Navy Corpsman, I helped care for Marines. I tell you this because inevitably there will be those that assume I hold some anti-military motive. Quite the contrary. This writer is a Navy veteran, receiver of a Navy Commendation medal for lifesaving, Fleet Marine Force Expeditionary medal (2) and several letters of commendation among other ribbons and medals. I also spent time at Camp Lejuene.

Sounds like a planned mass violation of Posse Comitatas.
States need to fund their own militias. They can be used in any upcoming civil unrest instead of inviting in the feds. They will also be useful in removing the monopoly of force from the federal government should the states need to nullify unconstitutional federal action.
Isn’t civil unrest a job, if it comes to that, for the National Guard and not the U.S. Military.
“Although there is no danger, Farao said residents should stay away if they see training under way or uniformed personnel.”
Why do we have to ‘stay away’ if there’s no danger?
So, an unnamed source high up in the DHS thinks that there will be civil unrest this summer, and that the urban exercises are to desensitize citizens to the military. I tend to roll my eyes, but considering all the current events and the government buying over a billion rounds of hollow points, they obviously are worried about it.
Unlike the article which states it will start this summer, I don't think fighting against the left and its government will break out that soon. We simply are not ready psychologically, politically and socially.
I say get as close as possible without being detected. Watch. Record video. Learn. Disseminate info. It will be needed.
Other way round. The exercise is to desensitize the military to firing on their citizens.
They ain`t immune from IED`s in Afghanistan.
bump for later.
regarding this current administration in the WH, does the architect worry about the reason for their design or worry about something going wrong when implementing their design??
exactly
These US cities are chosen specifically because they need to be trained on those city layouts.
All imo of course.
Well, Bill Errs, JJJr. and the Rev Al seem to make it work.
I wish that our Repub governors in these states would immediately issue an executive order, or a legislative bill, that would explicitly PROHIBIT the feds from conducting any such military exercises in any of their cities.....and that local LE, county sheriffs & state patrols would be given the express right to shut down and/or arrest any participants in such exercises.
I live in VA Beach, VA. We're in a verrrry big military area. There's the Navy Base in Norfolk, NAS Norfolk, Little Creek Amphibious Base, Ft Story, Dam Neck, Oceana Master Jet Base. All just in Norfolk and Virginia Beach and I have never in the 35 years I've lived here ever witnessed these kinds of training exercises. Ever. I think we need to take these reports seriously. Something's up and it smells pretty rotten.
Heheh...that’s not a job, that’s a career.
The muzzies have a ready supply of raw material for IED making. Not so in the US.
