This guy is crazy as a loon.
I see dead people.
Worse, he is a police chief.

Most police chiefs answer to their political masters, so their positions reflect those they are answerable to. The rank and file almost always disagree with the chiefs on just about any issue, including gun control.
You first, Billy boy.
It's working miracles in Chicago there, Chief. Only SEVEN people murdered this past Saturday night.
What a WHACK job !! He’s been in the Evidence room again snorting lines!!
Of course he does not live in San Diego. He lives about 70 miles away in Fallbrook. He is a 100% partisan Democrat hack. The local news media rarely ask him to answer tough questions. If they do ask him a tough question he does not answer it.
As the goal is admitted, let us have no more discussion of these ridiculous diversions. The goal sought is disarmament, period. Accomplished bit by bit. But none of those bits are "reasonable" or "common sense" as they are admittedly simply elements of the intended goal, which is complete disarmament.
If the goal isn't worthy, then none of the steps towards it should be undertaken.
Oh, boy
And the police wonder why they aren’t respected anymore.
Imbeciles like this chief actively siding with the criminals in disarming the people and turning them into prey instead of supporting their ability to defend themselves against predators couldn’t possibly be part of it, nooo....
Did they look for the furthest left wing, lowest IQ possible to fill the chief’s badge or what?
Tell that to my daughters (6 and 9) who already “own” a rifle and handgun each. They’re not giving those up any more than I’ll give up mine.
He has reason to be optimistic. Look at how anti drug programs have cleared the streets of drugs. Gun control should be at least as successful.

BS
Well I should hope so! Who puts their gun down in the street anyway? It might get run over or someone might trip and there is all kinds of gravel and oil down there, at the least you would mar the finish. Guns belong in holsters when not in use or in hand when they are.
The phrase “clear and present danger” comes to mind ...
Indeed it did. Not to mention the trains. :-)
