Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday that he views the administration’s efforts to reduce firearms violence as gun safety – not gun control.
The vice president fielded questions online in a Google+ Hangout, saying the proposals that he and President Barack Obama have laid out won’t end gun crime, but they still could make a difference.

“Gun safety” then has to deal with the human factor.
All these proposals deal exclusively with the tool.
Hence we are talking about gun control.

Public Safety is a screen. The reason the Second Amendment is in the Consitution is in case politicians decide to ignore the other Nine Amendments in the Bill of rights.
Which is precisely why they want to target it.
I see your analogy there Joe. Is that the same as your being a vice president is like having someone competent to stand in for the president? Admittedly, it would be a better carnival act they the organ player’s assistant we have there now but still.

the difference that will be made is - that law abiding citizens who hold out - cache their weapons - will be listed as criminals - and the today’s criminals will seize upon the fact that less people will have arms - and crime rates will soar — which furthers the excuse of contained areas to live - more govt control and military type forces running around - and any other huge govt programs to “control the situation” will come about...maybe not right away - but the ground work that was laid 30 yrs ago - is being built upon now...and it’s rising...
Look for a second American civil war down the road.

The SITUATION is out of control — we, as a nation, should not be dealing with the issues listed in this article:

But, we are, and to no avail. I’m sure there is a majority of citizens that want to act - but have no assurance that they will be supported and joined by others. No one wants to go to prison for a half hearted attempt to protect the nation from a tyrant. Obama is counting on this to move forward. Even federal officers don’t want to jeopardize their careers or livelihood to go against the grain at this time...so we sit and wait - while Obama moves forward...I’m sure they laugh and scowl in the nite while stuffing their faces as the rest of us worry how we are going to get through this mess...
If we do make it through - a total re-vamp of every federal institution needs to be done - starting with education at home - then the schools - then colleges - the move needs to address education and re-institute national pride in Our Founding Fathers - what is illegal stays illegal - and overall goal is to shrink the federal govt down - to where they do the few jobs they are suppose to do - this whole global collective - and mindset of the elite show be done away with...
But will it happen?
Do not doubt, it will happen, what I have predicted, that folks will simply diobey the law. It is happening already.
Out west, there is even growing numbers of sheriffs that not going to enforce any new laws. Disregard for new federal laws is happening already.
